I was really impressed with Tyson's stamina. Jones was clinching at every opportunity, but if this was 3 minute rounds, Tyson would of eventually wore Jones out by Round 3-4 because those body shots and just Tyson's presence and his energy in the ring along is tiring to deal with. Imaging taming a bull with your bare hands. Even when Mike doesn't hit Jones, you can see how Tyson leads his weight into Jones to make him work. Tyson was on time with everything he intended. The weird part of all this is that, Tyson seem like he was just fighting at 70%, I know Jones is washed of course....individually Mike impressed me. Maybe I just miss seeing him in the ring because no one carries an aura like him in any sport I've followed.
As for Nate Robinson, he absolutely had no sparring to be fighting like that. I can get 20 guys from my boxing gym in the Bronx right now who can whoop Jake Paul....that was absolutely disgraceful to watch because Jake isn't anything special, he just goes for guys with literally no sparring experience. Reminds me of FouseyTube vs that other habibi from the X who's like 5"2 tall. YouTube personalities should be banned from boxing. This is a stain on the sport. I'm ashamed Nate even wore orange and blue for this. Knicks catch L's even when they're not at the event.
Tyson was taking it easy on Roy...lets be honest here lol. If they were to go full 100% on each other, Tyson would have had tore him up easy.
Also Nate was getting him early...But Paul kept stopping him with the clinch. Getting Nate behind the head/ear really messed him up. If it was a MMA fight between Nate and Paul, nate would have probably dominated him.
"Getting him early" would include Nate actually pushing Jake Paul back and causing some kind of threat. Jake circled around Nate, rushed him down and countered him all at once. Not only Nate's footwork is trash, he's just too anxious and nervous. His shoulders were tight and there was absolutely not threat from his punches.
Nah, Nate has pitty pat punches and literally no power behind his shots. He's not even on an amateur level. Jake Paul is 6"1 and 190 Nate is 5"8 and 180, Nate doesn't have a background in wrestling and grappling.
What got Nate hurt was his reckless lunging with his hands down, throwing momentum into Jake's punches. He made it easy as possible and if Nate tried that in MMA, the same result would happen.
Some people are born fighters, others aren't.
You can tell in Nate's demeanor he doesnt like getting hit, he's not trained to nor it is in his soul. Nate should stay away from combat sports and focus on his basketball career. Be a coach. A scout.
