If there is anything you can take away from these preseason games, its that the energy level between plumlee/Okafor compared to Stewart is stark. Stewart is going to make mistakes, but he super active in direct comparison.
I would love to see him get the start for the next game to see how he looks with the rest of the starters.
Hayes
Svi
Sekou
Blake
Stewart
No chance we paid Grant $20 million per year to come off the bench. He and Blake are both guaranteed to start if healthy. Maybe we get lucky and Blake doesn't play B2Bs this year so we can see Sekou starting some games.
we'll see. If Sekou keeps playing like this, it will force Casey's hand. Weaver knows the situation, and if you have to pay 20million for a bench player, so be it.
Of all the additions I have seen to this team, and of the two preseason games, the one that has made the biggest impression is Bey. Multitude of ways to score. Plays tough man to man. Can shoot the hell out of the ball, and, most importantly, is poised out on the floor like he is a 5 years vet.
If this team ever does get back to being relevant in the next few years, he is going to be a big part of it.
As for Grant, you may be right for the first portion of the season, but if Grant states what he is, and other players shine, he's not gonna stick. I feel the same way about the Center position. Effort goes a long way to coaches like Casey. Stewart may end up starting just by virtue of simply caring more.
