I'm not the biggest DLo fan in the world, but on that team, I don't understand making him the 6th man. I wonder if it's just for the opener because it's Rubio and his history there. I have a feeling DLo will want out, and hell they may want him out, if they keep him out of the starting lineup while he's on that giant contract.

I don't know about wanting out. I think DLo is a nice sixth man but I'm guessing it was more of either trying it out or maybe he was late for practice or something. Personally I'd start Rubio and DLo, along with Okogie, Layman and Towns. Had Keita Bates Diop worked out,the defense of him and Okogie along with Rubio around DLo and Towns would have been nice.

Then you leave DLo or Rubio out there and stagger them with guys like Edwards, Culver, Juancho and Ed Davis.

I do like DLo with that group though and starting Rubio to give more D and DLo with more offense off the bench, at least until Edwards and Culver become better offensively.

Starting Beasley though with Rubio and DLo could work but then you don't have a ballhandler with the second unit unless you trust Culver to do that and maybe a bit of Edwards and maybe McLaughlin in the future.

But staggering DLo and Rubio would work the best after maybe starting them for a few minutes together.
DLo didn't start that game because he was late for a shoot around.

I question the fit of their roster but they certainly have some firepower and could be a decent team this year.

That's what I figured though I still think he's a better 6th man than Rubio. But really is should be Beasley.

Oubre is like Dragic in the sense their both better off being used as 6th men.

If Dragic was used as a 6th man his entire career then he would’ve had a Ginobili type career imo. Oubre has the chance to be a great 6th man, he just needs to be willing to accept that type of role.

Wiseman also looks good setting screens, and also seems smart (knowledgeable?) enough already to wait a beat after setting the pick to roll, giving Curry time to operate, and draw the defenders. Some players never do that, and it makes it too crowded. He will be good.

Having hated the warriors since 2016, it's given my grinch heart so much joy to see both Wiggins and Oubre handling so much of their offense.

Oubre will play better (he's not going to shoot 10% on the year). But the Ws problems run deeper than just him.

Wiseman is a nice prospect.

One issue they have is their O is designed for willing passers and good shooters something this roster isn't exactly stacked with.

Josh Jackson is averaging 19ppg this season while shooting over 40% at 3, given up on him too soon.

Terry Rozier is averaging 42 pts and 10 made 3s a game. Too soon to say he's the greatest player of all time?

Kyrie and Dinwiddie taking pull up transition threes looking just like Steve Nash. Really cool.

I never understood why the Warriors were considered by a lot of people a playoff team this season. They have so many low basketbal IQ players and Draymond is done.

Because people assumed Curry would average 27 ppg, Wiggins & Oubre 20+ ppg and Wiseman 15 ppg. Well looks like none of that will happen.

The problem with the Warriors isn't that Curry, Green, Wisemen and Oubre can't get it done etc.. It's that the rest of their roster IS COMPLETE TRASH. Look at that bench and it is absolutely horrific. It's as bad as our team during the McDonough/Bender/Jackson years. Wiggins is also not that good a player. Ideally he comes off the bench as a scorer.

I always try not to first blame the best players on a team when a team is underperforming in the regular season.

Curry can average 37 points and they would still not make it. He would be like 2006 Kobe.

Yeah especially out West where there are a lot of good and deep teams the Warriors are going to get murdered by their bench. I don't think their starters are good enough to overcome that.

Today might be especially discouraging because the bucks are actually pretty thin and the type of team that the warriors lack of depth shouldn't hurt them as much.

Another aspect that hurts the warriors is their system has basically been copied by several teams so teams are far more used to guarding it than 5 years ago.
