I'd argue that at his absolute peak in 2000, he was more dominant than anyone who has ever played, Jordan, Wilt, you name it. He just didn't have the discipline and motivated to be that guy his entire career. If he's to be bitter, he should be bitter about how much he left on the table due to his own laziness.
and still he needed those Shaw and Fox threes and Portland to choke to get to the finals.

Young Shaq would have been athletic and quick enough to play now but yeah after Shaq got to Miami and became slow and out of shape he would not have been able to stay on the floor in today's NBA. Shaq's peak was brief compared to most all-time greats and conditioning was a big part of why.

The first time he was top 2 in MVP votes was 1995. The last was 2005. A decade isn't brief.

And Miami Shaq would be the best C in the league. Anyone talking about running Shaq off the floor doesn't understand basketball.
Miami Shaq was really overrated.
After 2003 Shaq was far from being the MDE.

Prime, motivated, in shape Shaq would easily have humiliated Gobert... It's just kind of too bad we only got Prime, motivated, in shape Shaq for a handful of seasons.

Let's not forget that besides his "feuds" with Dwight, Perkins and Erick Dampier, Shaq was also the guy taunting Yao with "ching-chong-yang-wah-ah-soh". And the guy was at least 30 years old when he said that.

Dude is just a 7'1" toddler. He never grew up. Thank God for him that he's huge and could play basketball.

People overreacting as usual. Just a little honest trash talk. Seems like posters are taking it harder than Rudy did.

You are talking about internet nerds who have never competed in a competitive sport in their life.

Shaq would absolutely eat Gobert alive, but I don't understand why he's so insecure.

I wish Shaq was more like Kobe embracing the future of the league rather than being a gatekeeping ****.

Shaq is a trash talker and will likely continue to be one until the day he dies. he doesn't need to change for anyone.

With the way my dude JAFRO was toying with Rudy, Shaq might be underselling his hypothetical numbers...

Don't forget his imaginary 'feud' with David Robinson.

If Jarrett Allen can drop 19 & 18 on Rudy, then Shaq is really underselling himself.

Shaq would mess around and get Ben Wallace’d by Rudy.

I think Shaq was confused again, 45 cheese burgers followed up with a 16kg dump is more Shaq's style.

Do you really struggle to understand Shaq is getting paid to say this and create some drama?

So a multimillionaire takes money to come across like a big fn joke, idiot and buffoon to anybody with a little bit of sense. What does that tell us about him?
