They actually are in a ideal scenario on that...Killboard wrote:mercgold3 wrote:Jedzz wrote:
Cam Johnson, picked at Wolves #11 spot we trade up out of. 42% attempting over 6+/g threes now. He was only 39% on 4 to 5 attempts last year. He's getting better, and probably should get more of those shots. Surprising because he's only gotten 50 attempts so far this year. But Malik Beasley has only gotten 47 attempts at threes so far with starts (less than 6/g). A guy that was attempting over 8/g at 42% for us last year.
Just shows you how completely wrong end up our offense is right now.
To be fair, nobody expected Cam Johnson to go #11 in the 2019 draft. Was a surprise back then but the Suns got it right.
He can shoot, can defend, plays the two forward positions. Hes only coming off the bench because of Crowder but hes such a nice piece to have around your main players.
Of course now the big picture says that we gave Saric and #11 (Cam) for Culver. And that doesnt look good.
He also is going to be 25 years old in two months. I mean, he has been good, they got that right, but his ceiling isn't much more than he currently is. Is interesting what Phoenix is going to do moving forward, with Paul and Booker making 75M next season, Crowder an Saric 20M more, and Ayton and Bridges wanting extensions.
Ayton and Bridges extensions kick off when Chris Paul comes out of the books.
