Part of that is due to his OK outside shooting so far, but he's also incredibly crafty with hesitations, changes of direction and spin moves.

That's the part that makes me think of Luka. Lonzo can't do that. That gives Melo a huge leg up on his older brother, because as you write that's a special ability.

Will Brooklyn go the way that the Knicks recently have gone, and become a dysfunctional NY team? Kyrie is missing his 3rd straight game for a personal reason that he won't specify. (There's a rumor that he's doing so in protest to the Capitol riot, but what sort of protest would it be if he won't talk about the reason?)

Hawks Bogey fractured his knee. Looks like he will be out for awhile.

Don't want to make it seem like Dinwiddie was the second-coming... but I actually thought he was the most important guy after Durant, given his reputation as a leader/teammate, and just being a 3-position, 2-way, high-IQ guy who doesn't skip every other game for personal reasons. Kyrie is a superstar talent, but Dinwiddie was PG cushion for the bumpy ride. With him out, and any possibility of a Harden trade, I'd be pretty shocked if they won a chip. Kyrie is going on his 4th straight year of erratic behavior.

I just don't think he can deal with any pressure. He needs to be the auxiliary 3rd/4th guy, ala Rodman. Take his gifts as they come, but have a plan in place. If I'm BRK, it's time to get creative with the trade market.

I wonder if we will even get to play the Celtics on Tuesday. I highly doubt it.

Yep. That's how it goes with no real training camp. Bubble had lots of injuries too.

Me either. Its going to be harder and harder in my opinion. One guy can essentially pipe bomb the whole team. I think we were extremely lucky we only got 2 players affected and 2 on protocol. The Sixers and Celtics have their top 8 guys out.

And when you figure its a 10 day protocol, The Celts and Sixers could miss like 5 games.

Remember when people were hyping cam reddish after 1 f**king games against the bulls? well according to the stats his defense has improved but his offense is as horrid as ever. Worse than last year.

We are basically on a every other day schedule. Game every two days. COVID can hit you hard.

These teams need to cut out all outside contact like a bubble situation if they will make it. Doesn’t seem likely. Probably more if this till vaccine next month.

Well, I guess this is why the play-in tournament was planned.

They probably should've allowed 20-man rosters this season. I agree it's tough planning to make these games up.

Chicago should try but doubt it. Zach made a strong case

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Kawhi would be a really nice get but we desperately need a primary playmaker to organize the offense. Kawhi is not a playmaker in that sense.

What an utter disaster of a season for Bogdanovic. He took less money than his market value to end up with the Hawks, never got comfortable and shot like crap, and now he's probably out for good after a freak injury.

Things are going downhill fast at Atlanta. Trey's numbers are down across the board from last year, they've lost 5 of their last 6, Collins is unhappy and the new core is injured. Ugh.

Things change fast in the NBA.

He got his market value. Another team could have outbid Atlanta, they didn't (or he didn't want to go there).

Lloyd Pierce is looking like he's just a terrible coach. Hoiberg, Fizdale, Pierce…these guys who have the deadly combo of no locker room command with absolutely no discernible tactical traits either are the truly worst coaches of all. Walton is another one, I have no idea how he still has his job.

Atlanta should fire Pierce ASAP and make a run at D'Antoni. What he could do with that roster offensively…
