GT: Rams at Packers - 3:35 - Fox

Defensive foundation is looking strong with Clark (25)/Gary (23)/Jaire (23)/Savage (23). Even Za'darius is still only 28. King likely gone so will need another corner. Still be in the hunt for an upgrade at ILB if one is there too, but at least have a few guys to look at in Barnes/Martin.

Yeah, I love that foundation - Clark and Jaire are already elite and Gary/Savage have the tools to be as well. Always need more corners but I'd like to add another big body on the DL that can wreak a little havoc. One more DT/DL big body to pair with Clark on the interior with Gary and Z on the edges would be a dream front.

Also - big shout Elgton Jenkins, love that guy! Pretty absurd that you can lose Bakh and play that defensive front that effectively.

I'm cool adding to the dline this off-season but let's not forget Keke who looks like a player. I probably wouldn't go 1st round with that pick unless some absolute stud fell because the pack play mostly 2 down lineman so there isn't a ton of snaps to be had.

Jenkins is an absolute stud, if they redrafted that class right now he goes top half of round 1. Whatever the Packers are doing scouting, evaluating, and coaching on the oline they need to continue because they have absolutely nailed it with that position group.

I was worried he might have broke his leg after seeing the replay and his instant reaction. But they let him walk off and I'd assume if it was a break we would have heard about it by now. He might have just took a shot to a bad spot and it's no more than a scare and a bruised quad.

Speaking of RBs Jones was obviously great but man Jamal Williams ran with some violence yesterday. Dude was making the d earn every tackle.

Barnes was a gamer yesterday. That hand had to hurt like hell everytime he made contact, but he powered through. Still, I think the inability to close his hand played a role in the one Ram touchdown (Barnes had a hold of Akers, but couldn't wrap him up well), and of course, it likely impacted the near interception.

It's dangerous because if you go three and out you put your defense right back out there with barely any time to rest. I think the Packers can manage it if they put a better package out there. They were stuck in base for quite a bit of it.

I thought on both those drives the Rams just took what the pack gave them (short passing) and that's basically what the pack have been giving all season so I don't know if that really gave away any secrets. Kind of interesting the Rams D seemed to be playing the same strategy.

The rams didn't exactly turn Geoff loose but they played a pretty clean game on O. Was kind of impressive the pack only gave up 18 while not being aided by offensive mistakes.

You both make good points. I guess it just seems like our D is a little less reliable, a little more porous, in hurry-up situations—look at end of halves, for example, where it seems like we give up quick scores easily. Our D invites teams to take their time moving down the field, and in that way, we dictate pace to our advantage (seemingly). Hurry-up gets us out of our groove (and also could give teams more possessions i guess). But crkone is right- maybe too big a chance it could backfire.

Seems like after every game, even if they play pretty well, MLF is talking about being upset with some form of scheming for the defense. Could definitely see Pettine let go, even with and owl.
