If we move on from brad I think it should be someone who has head coaching experience and can get the players and team to the next level. Maybe those 3 start out and have zero bumps in the road as 1st time head coaches but it’s not an experiment I’m willing to try with so much tied into the future of Tatum and co.
Well it’s risky getting a coach with no prior experience, but both Sam and Chauncy had tons of playing experience as the point guards and one of the leaders of their respective teams. Those years of directing plays, and playing for championship teams means a lot. Even Steve Kerr had no prior experience, but did great. Both of those guys would command respect among players. They are good leaders and motivators, which Brad isn’t. They are battle tested as players, and there is a good chance ot translate to coaching. Plus i’m freaking bored with Stevens’ style of coaching. Lacks identity and toughness. No killer instinct, too systematic. Wouldn’t mind a change. I would like any of those two.
