Agreed. Sadly people around here lost that perspective.

Yeah well there are people on the other side of the fence too thinking that he's the answer to all our prayers. Believing he's an alpha scoirer and loving his defense.

COunt me in that group

He could very well be a Vanvleet type player. He's already shooting better than he did in his rookie year at 22.Skin wrote:The Effect wrote:Skin wrote:Yeah well there are people on the other side of the fence too thinking that he's the answer to all our prayers. So 10 year starter for the Magic on a contending team? Or no?

Imagine that... playing time helped the rookie...
Too bad our organization doesn't get that minutes need to be given to these young guys. Does it always work? Hell no. But at least you don't go into season 4 wondering if you should resign the guy or not

I also did disagree with you about his defense. He's pretty solid and is better than Fultz at guarding the PG position.

I don't recall anyone getting past him. I know he cut off Rozier on one play and drew an offensive foul.Skin wrote:basketballRob wrote:He could very well be a Vanvleet type player. I'm enjoying his 3pt shooting. He's taking what the defense is giving him and not forcing it.
But his defense bro... You need to convince me of your g'damn lying words. He does not even attempt to stop drivers (he prefers to try to get a block from behind), he does not take charges, he gets shot over very easily, he's not quick or long enough to get steals through passing lanes, he's not physical... I dunno what you like... he is barely ever used for defense at the top of the key... most of the time he's playing zone to stop the corner 3 - that's like the only way you could get away with having him on the floor because he can't guard anybody else except for the sneaky corner 3 spotter who is trying to hide.
...better defender than Fultz... you funny dawwwg.
