The moaning is mostly because it’s boring and uninspiring play from what we have left where Cole, Chuma and Bamba are the only players who have a hope of playing outside of expectations. But even in our current situation Bacon and Birch are putting up more shots on some/most nights.
Cole Anthony is averaging 32 mpg in last 8 games. Isn't what all you want ? Watching 20 y.o. player "develop" ?
18 min for Okeke after not playing in month.
Bamba is 3rd year player that is only tied with Magic in any way or fashion for 1 year. Sometimes it's just best to cut losses and let it go.
Once again, if you want to tank, witch i do at this point, i'm fine with whatever gets a job done. I don't care.
Not a single guy from bunch you mentioned ( Bamba, Okeke, Cole) will learn anything from it because it's not competitive basketball, team is running top 10 worst offense ,defense, points differential & Bamba and Okeke are 23 and far too old to "learn" anything basketball related that they didn't do during their youth, teen and adolescence in last 10 years playing basketball. Same happend in our first failed rebuild where Payton, Gordon Hezonja, Harris and Dipo peaked in their year 3 or 4 (22 y.o. pretty much sets what you will be for rest of a career ) . We have trackrecord of 4-5 years to follow their "development" after to notice that nobody actaully got significantly better after that age. Few got worst.
But nobody wants to talk about reality, let' keep pretending that development of young players is putting dead body in Lazarus pit.
It's hilarious to even entertain idea that players learn anything while running like fools on 10-72 wins team by "playing".
Joel Embiid rolled from bed, with 0 min played in nba, 0 min of playing basketball in 2 years and was way better basketball player than Jah Okafor and Noel after 2 and 3 years of "developing". They, at that point had 103 ( Jah) and 193 ( Noel) games played. Spoiler alert : playing 30 min a game during that period did nothing for rest of their careers, as both are marginal backups to this date.
