One a year, I think. Bad teams can get interesting. Interesting teams can get good. Good teams can get better. Very good teams can become contenders. It's incremental progress. WTF happened here to make this THE thing to do as a "fan"? I'm all for bold moves and "moneyball" team building based on innovative plans and young, exciting coaches (none of which we have) but blowing everything up as the solution to everything but a ring is fantasy BS.
young 'uns growing up with too many cheat codes, I guess.
I would normally agree with you. And had it only been Isaac that was out for the year, I'd be right there with you. But for this year only, with all the injuries to major pieces (cause the players we're missing aren't just replacable bit players) it makes no sense to even try for the playoffs. It really doesn't.
The Bucks made us look miserable last season. And that was with Fultz on the court. Now we're missing Isaac and Fultz. What do you think is gonna happen if we, by some miracle, make the playoffs?
We're so decimated with injuries, I truly doubt we can even make the playoffs. So what will end up happening is that we'll get the 11th seed, lower our draft chances, not make the playoffs. Pick 7th in the draft, barely miss out on a superstar rookie, repeat next season with the same team and a new role player rookie. So we'd just be the 5th seed as the absolute best result. Likely 6th or under though.
This is with Ross and Vuc in their 30's now as well. They aren't getting any younger. And Vuc needs help.
