Pass. I'm not a fan of QBs that see ghosts. I think he'd be better here than in NYJ but honestly I wasn't that high on him coming out. Good arm talent but makes alot of questionable decisions when pressured.
My rankings of available QBs
Tier 1
1. Zach Wilson
2. DeShaun Watson
3. Dak Prescott
4. Trevor Lawrence
Tier 2
4. Marcus Mariota
5. Jameis Winston
6. Ryan Fitzpatrick
7. Teddy Bridgewater - may be available.
7. Jacoby Brissett
8. Mitch Trubisky
I throw the kitchen sink at Zach Wilson. Go up and get the 2nd pick in the draft if you have too. Give them all the picks they want but keep the players.
I assume DeShaun won't be available right away. If everything else fails, you can circle back and see if Houston is willing to move him. I'd give up Payne but I'd hesitate to give up anything else player wise.
Dak is my immediate fallback if Zach is unattainable. He's going to be pricey tho.
I assume Trevor is not available.
The 2nd group are short term solutions that would be relatively inexpensive and allow us to move on a year later if it doesn't work out. I'd go for relatively younger guys who may still have some unlocked potential and avoid giving up major assets. Maybe Jameis fixes the interception bug. Maybe Mariota fixes his accuracy issues. Ryan, Teddy or Jacoby would all be solid vets who have flaws but can be relied upon.
Worst thing we can do IMO is spend capital such as 1st round pick(s) on guys like Carr, Garappolo or Darnold.
