With the top 5 I'm going:
1. Jalen Green - Been my #1 since 2018 when I saw him at the U17 win MVP, then he cemented it in 2019. Just saw the game last night this morning and honestly the only comparable first step at his height belongs to MJ. His jumper is also rapidly improving and looks absolutely beautiful now. His base is solid and consistent from different angles. I understand the hangups on him many have though. His shot selection isn't the best and he's not the smartest or strongest player but players with his work ethic and raw scoring ability don't come along often. He's Kobe minus the wiggle with less length and strength but with a first step that's 2nd to MJ. Lowest floor of the group (I mean you take out the first step and add knuckleheadedness and his scouting report reads like that of a young JR Smith) but he's also the only one of them I can see possibly becoming a top 20 player ever. He's the best wing prospect since young KD and has extremely similar flaws.
2. Johnathan Kuminga - He's the best offensive player of the bunch right now if you ask me, which is scary because he's also the youngest and extremely raw. He's a year younger than Cade. His jumper is weak, his defense is suspect, but his first step is good and his handles are good. His post game looks amazing in the G-League so far too and he seems like he'll be a great scorer out the gate. Can possibly be MVP level.
3. Cade Cunningham - Amazing passer, great shooter, great size, not the most athletic, not much wiggle handling the ball, but with these offensive engine types running the league right now I see why everyone has him first. He's kind of like an alternate reality LaMelo. Like they do almost the same things on the court, but in entirely different ways.
4. Jalen Suggs - Brandon Roy without a star mentality but with the added bonus of being an amazing defender. Not a lot to say about him other than that he probably has the highest floor of the bunch.
5. Evan Mobley - Chris Bosh but taller and with great timing for blocking shots. Dude is a gazelle in the open court, his jumper shows a lot of promise, his defense is amazing, and his only issue is that he is incredibly weak. With the resurgence of the big man it's hard to not put him #1. It seems like a ton of amazing bigs are coming along as of late and it's hard to not compare him to Wiseman, Bagley, and Ayton as prospects and remember those guys aren't performing as well as some ball handlers taken in those same drafts.
You can't really go wrong with any guy, I kind of secretly want Dallas and NY to end up with between 8-10 spots in the lotto so we can have a 5% chance of snatching 2 of these guys but I know that'll never happen lol.
