Westbrook’s problem is not that he’s playing bad—it’s that he’s not playing smart often not.
When Russ is shooting those jumpers with 10-15 secs left on the shot clock. Well, yes, that’s bad—and stupid.
But when he’s getting to the rim for layups, finding open teammates for easy baskets or pulling down rebounds. Well, that’s the smart Westbrook that is helping the Zards win.
A good coach would make sure Russ stops the stupid shooting and isos—and priotizes those smart things that helps the team on both ends of the court.
