Ayo just got his 2nd triple double of the season vs Minnesota!!!
Again I prefer one of Christopher or Bouknight but I can see our scouting department really liking Ayo...
He can almost play a hybrid role of Delon and Norm. He has the ballhandling to help push the ball up, set up the offense (like Delon did) and the downhill drives to score or pitch out (like Norm) with of course the ability to hit a pitch out 3 as well. He'll the role of what we've typically been trying to run through our "off guard"/SG but again personally would just prefer we find someone with go to scoring potential that can create his own as a true scorer with more crafty ballhandling, foot work and purer shooting stroke like the guys I said before.
With this weird lack of direction for our team it's gonna be interesting where we land...
I really like his quick burst while doing his crossovers. His first step is great. Something that should translate in the pros.
He also doesn't seem to be a stat padder getting 2 triple-doubles in the same season!!! If he gets another one, it can't be ignored. I don't remember Illinois being relevant since the 90's.
