RJ since the creation of this thread:

16.5/6/3 on 45/40/71 splits, .523 TS, 32.7 mpg

I highlight the mpg cause it puts it into context, while the raw numbers are about the same, he's doing it in a good amount less minutes. Went from 15 points per36 to 18.1 per36, which isn't a massive improvement, but combined with the efficiency going up from Frank level TS to merely below average, and he has gotten better this year despite the inconsistencies as of late

That's also not pointing out he won't be able to legally drink in America for 3 and a half more months. Kid's gonna be good.

This is where the low volume on threes and free throws hurt him the most. You look at those shooting slashes and you’d think he’s having an efficient season but he’s still below average. It’s still great that he’s shooting that well on those low numbers of attempts but let’s hope he’ll be able to translate it on more attempts. That’s gonna be crucial for him taking the next step as a scorer.

Yeah, that's why I always put both splits and TS, cause splits can be kinda misleading by themselves

I'd rather have him shooting 34% on 3.5 attempts a game (which he is this season) than 30% on 5 attempts a game though.

Im still hoping that a lot of his early season shooting struggles was adjusting to his new form and getting adjusted to having nba defenders coming at him again. Just cuz I’d rather have that be the reason than an extra 1.5 shots from threes per game

No we need to leave it open forever. Let the shame wash over them as he validates that he is a franchise cornerstone

4 games. He had a bad 4 game stretch and so many ppl piled on. Not 20. Not 10. Not even 5.

4 games and they went all in on bashing RJB. See BKN game & PG thread. A disgrace

We need a Is Kevin Knox a bust? thread. He's the next guy on the list to get right.

I can’t believe they’re using Obi the same way they did Knox when Obi could be a beast PnR guy

rj is hitting 47% on 2's, last year it was 43%.

if he gets it at 50% you're looking at someone that becomes a #1 option.
LOL Y U MAD THO?

No, I think RJ is one of those players who will peak in about 4 or 5 years because of experience and improved shooting. The Knicks already have one of those players currently peaking. 8-)

Look what happens when you do the rebuilding type decisions like accepting the L’s as the kids develop and trading productive vets on a losing team for assets
