I highlight the mpg cause it puts it into context, while the raw numbers are about the same, he's doing it in a good amount less minutes. Went from 15 points per36 to 18.1 per36, which isn't a massive improvement, but combined with the efficiency going up from Frank level TS to merely below average, and he has gotten better this year despite the inconsistencies as of late
That's also not pointing out he won't be able to legally drink in America for 3 and a half more months. Kid's gonna be good.
This is where the low volume on threes and free throws hurt him the most. You look at those shooting slashes and you’d think he’s having an efficient season but he’s still below average. It’s still great that he’s shooting that well on those low numbers of attempts but let’s hope he’ll be able to translate it on more attempts. That’s gonna be crucial for him taking the next step as a scorer.
Yeah, that's why I always put both splits and TS, cause splits can be kinda misleading by themselves
I'd rather have him shooting 34% on 3.5 attempts a game (which he is this season) than 30% on 5 attempts a game though.
Im still hoping that a lot of his early season shooting struggles was adjusting to his new form and getting adjusted to having nba defenders coming at him again. Just cuz I’d rather have that be the reason than an extra 1.5 shots from threes per game
