Just growing pains. He's too inexperienced to help a team trying to win. Can't guard anybody.
He's unfortunate in a sense, because he was drafted by a contender. If he was just a role player, with one of outstanding skill like Thybulle, he'd be in the lineup. But Maxey is a playmaker, and he isn't good enough yet, to be a net positive against any team that's locked in on him.
I Agree.
Joe could crack the rotation earlier than Maxey even if he is a player with less potential.
Sixers have to make a decision in two weeks or this summer: would they spend time and resources to develop Maxey (so to give him minutes with less chance to win as a team) or would they let antoher team to develop the guy (so trade him)?
It will be an interesting answer
