He also says Heat are strongest Lowry team, but Philly and Clippers interested(Stein had earlier hinted at Dallas as well). Lowry's preference is supposed to be Miami not Philly because of Butler. But Raps want Herro or Robinson in return.

Heat also favs to sign a bought out LMA with Portland in the mix.

Lots of Collins interest(Celtics, Kings, Mavs, Pistons, Wolves) Hawks asked for Beasley and a 1st and Minny said no. Boston also would like Bogdan in a Collins deal.

Clippers chasing PG's everywhere as expected --Lowry, Ball, Hill, Rubio

Gordon in demand. Houston trying to offer up Dipo to get him.

Mavs and Cavs talked about Drummond (barf)

Warriors shopping Oubre

Dieng possible buy out guy

Nets willing to include Dinwiddie for help now.

If the Hawks land Ball, all I can say is Trader Trav ( Schlenk ) is a madman. I don't hate it at all. But this is way out from left field for me.

Doesn't feel completely left field. Schlenk likes the main Warriors trio and Lonzo is one of the closest skill comparisons to Draymond in the league.

Defensively it would be ideal to help pair with Trae in the backcourt. The wrinkle will be how they get Trae to play off-ball or to play off Ball more.

My main thing about the left field comment is Ball and Collins pretty much guarantees the Hawks will be a luxury team next season. Not horribly bad but still in it. Then Trae and Huerter still to sign the following season.

Without shifting some salaries around, the Hawks would probably have a top 5 or 10 payroll in 2022/23.

Makes you wonder why the Hawks didn't just take Haliburton.

Take Wannamaker off the Warriors hands.

We'll give you a slightly used Brad Wanamaker and we won't even ask for a pick.

The Kings have a PG for sale by the name of Cory Joseph. He is a very nice guy.

we don't really have any way of matching salary without giving up someone important or several players (Biz+cap space gets us to like $7.8M or something) but I would've taken him since he's basically an expiring

He’s still a decent player with good ball handling skills, but he doesn’t have the supporting cast to make up for his weaknesses. I think he could make a small impact in Charlotte (more so than Sac). I think if the Kings decide against keeping Holmes while Charlotte simultaneously wins games, the. We could possibly see a bigger trade like Holmes and CoJo to the Hornets for pieces. The problem is the same as it’s been pre-LaMelo injury and it’s that Richaun will be a UFA. Charlotte will probably want to hold off on sending big assets for Richaun, which will likely prevent a deal between the two teams.

It's really going to come down to how much draft capital the Mavs are going to add to Green imo.

I don't want it period, but the deal I think is literally this or nothing:

Johnson
WCS
Boban
21 or 22 DAL 2nd

With WCS probably shunted off to a 3rd team.

Because Cleveland won't take Powell obviously and Dallas won't include any actual good players obviously so....

Saves Cavs a prorated $5M and they get their 2nd rounder they want.

Luka needs help so desperately. Mavs need to do something meaningful.

If you really don’t want to touch your cap space, Jordan McLaughlin is a good choice, if you know him.

Seems like Charlotte could just sign Shabazz and call it a day.

Oh I didn't think you believed the Cavs could pull Green in a Drummond deal. I just was trying to see how possible a deal was. It's actually a lot more possible than I thought--which doesn't please me...

This seems like an easy answer.

Schlenk said it came down to Deni, Haliburton, and Okongwu. Per his comments, he took Okongwu as BPA with the most upside. The Hawks did not fiddle around and made the pick pretty quickly.
