Im sorry but Griffin needs to go, he is garbage. Just this offseason he used a 1st round pick to get Adams and then gave him an extension without him playing a single game with Zion. And now 40 games in he is looking for ways to salary dump him?
And when it comes to Bledsoe, if moving Bledsoe means hurting the return for Ball or using picks, that just means the trade from Milwaukee isnt as good as first thought, if they have to use assets to dump Bledsoe.
And the thing is, both Adams and Bledsoe were obvious bad fits. Everyone could see that coming from a mile away.
I would imagine that he would like to salary dump Bledsoe in any Ball trade, that doesn’t mean he’s going to be willing to take nothing of consequence in return. That only means that he’d like to include him in the deal.
Griffin is doing a really good job in NO, people are just being really impatient for results which is kinda mystifying. The rebuild just started 1.5 seasons ago for God’s sake! Let the young players mature, the picks to become players and the GM to finish his job.
Okay but my point is with attaching Bledsoe in a Ball trade, Bledsoe is a negative value so he will hurt the return on a Ball trade.
Ball by himself return > Ball + Bledsoe return
How is Griffin doing a really good job? The Zion pick and LA deal were both essentially handed to him. Lets look at some of the moves he has made so far
#4 pick traded for Hayes and NAW
1st round pick (then extension) for Adams (no looking to salary dump 40 games in)
lotto pick on Kira
Jrue trade, lots of future picks and the value of those really depends on if Giannis stays with the Bucks. After Giannis signed that big deal with them, the value of the 2025 and 2027 Bucks picks probably arent that high at the moment. And again they took back Bledsoe which is either going to cost them a pick to salary dump, or it will hurt the return of the Ball trade
Where is he doing a really good job at? Id take Deandre Hunter over Hayes/NAW any day of the week. Hell Id take Brandon Clarke over Hayes/NAW and he took NAW before Clarke. Im just not seeing the positive moves Griffin has done so far. The best moves under his time there have been the 2 that were handed to him.
