So, I give this deal:
Philly A-
OKC A
NYK D
Philly:
Would be an A+ but Bradley has been needed, the team just started Mike Scott at center. But a legit 3rd guard with Curry and Green, and one who can play packup pg was needed. What was needed even more imo, was the ability to have a 2nd guard replacing Green next offseason. I would have gone all in on Powell, then overpaid with Bird Rights. But prior to the trade, Philly was set with 30m in expirings and then just the MLE (or a S&T that triggers a hardcap) to get better next year. Tough options, especially when the S&T is of a Ferguson, or a likely ring chasing Danny Green. The big reason this trade is an A (or A-) for me is that Hill has an almost unguaranteed 10m next year, which can be used as guaranteed in a trade if one materializes. Philly's salary cap sructure needed the flexibility of this desperately, or else it looked like all their picks and rookie contracts wouldn't be able to bring back anyone without losing Curry as well as Green next offseason. Absolutely worth the 2nds, and yes, even Bradley.
OKC: Young promising center, multiple distant 2nds, and no guaranteed salary next year. Win.
NYK: Didn't even get the Knicks 2nd back, and were needed to match salary. Instead spent salary cap space and got more useless players for a very small return.
