I'm glad one of these ring chasing front runners got screwed over. I honestly am.
It worked out all the way around for me.
The Pels didn't cave to Reddicks' buyout wish.
Reddick got all upset and started flaming the Pels front office.
Pels possibly take a reputational hit, increasing chances some of their players eventually wind up on the Knicks.

It wasn't Brooklyn or bust for Redick. He was good with coming here too. So I don't get the vitriol towards him. He has put in mad time in the league as a respected veteran. In his final stage he deserves to play close to home with a chance to see his family during a pandemic if he wasn't in the team's plans. If the Pels were all about compensation then Griff shouldn't have given his word. I'm sure Redick would have respected it more if he was like "I understand your family comes first but I have a job to do and the franchise comes first." Redick wouldn't have liked it but would've respected it.
I doubt he wanted to come here.
I think that was smokescreen BS stuff a savvy player says so it doesn't look like "Cut me so I can sign with the Nets"
