I'm glad one of these ring chasing front runners got screwed over. I honestly am.

It worked out all the way around for me.

The Pels didn't cave to Reddicks' buyout wish.
Reddick got all upset and started flaming the Pels front office.
Pels possibly take a reputational hit, increasing chances some of their players eventually wind up on the Knicks.

Win
Win
Win

It wasn't Brooklyn or bust for Redick. He was good with coming here too. So I don't get the vitriol towards him. He has put in mad time in the league as a respected veteran. In his final stage he deserves to play close to home with a chance to see his family during a pandemic if he wasn't in the team's plans. If the Pels were all about compensation then Griff shouldn't have given his word. I'm sure Redick would have respected it more if he was like "I understand your family comes first but I have a job to do and the franchise comes first." Redick wouldn't have liked it but would've respected it.

I doubt he wanted to come here.

I think that was smokescreen BS stuff a savvy player says so it doesn't look like "Cut me so I can sign with the Nets"

Everyone on the roster got paid and/or about to leave in free agency. No one playing defense anymore, just jacking up threes. They’re more or less the Wizards now.

They don't have a center, they get demolished on the boards, they rather play Siakam at C than start Boucher.

Because they have a FO exec who knows how to make his team bad at just the moment a deep draft is coming up and the last of his key guys is aging out.

The Raptors will wind up getting a franchise player in the draft while the Knicks ride the mediocre treadmill after some dubious trade and the Raptors pass the Knicks in the standing again next year.

It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

You could tell from the beginning of the year this was a different Jokic. almost like he finally realized just how much he could impose his will on the game

He's a machine on offense, but his defense will ultimately be the reason why they don't win. I could see the Blazers beating them in a series.

You think Portland has more firepower....? You could be right, but with the addition of Aaron Gordon I'm not 100% sure.

Read on Twitter

I'm one of those fans that doesn't like the buyout market. the NBA is so anti-tanking that they change the lottery odds (too drastically IMO), yet they're ok w/ teams buying out good players?

then those good players latch on to contending teams, creating more of a talent disparity around the league

maybe a solution (other than banning buyouts) could be that players who are bought out aren't playoff eligible :dontknow:

Definitely, I don't think they have the defenders to keep CJ & Dame contained, who is their best perimeter defender now, Dozier? Gordon helps them defending wings and tweener bigs, he doesn't stop a team with talented offensive guards from targeting Jokic in high screens.
