We've managed to avoid many of those recently due to injuries/rest but tonight gives you the reality of the situation. Also, if your best player is Jaylen Brown you aren't going anywhere. He's got to have some of the worst hands and BBIQ in the league for a SG and is just an average defender now.
If I'm Nesmith I'm begging my agent to get me the hell out of here. Langford isn't it. And to lose minutes to him, Semi, and Grant Williams means Brad has something personal against him.
Don't worry, we'll face some more teams absent multiple starters so everyone can pretend TimeLord is special and we're golden now that Langford is back. Fret not.
lol such a misinformed post. Time Lord is 6'8" but he's got a 7'6" wingspan and a 40 inch vertical leap so he plays much bigger.
His basketball IQ needs some work but he's only 23 - he's still developing and has shown that he's a very hard worker so he'll keep getting better.
Time Lord is currently 1st on the Celtics in every one of the following categories:
-Offensive Rating
-Defensive Rating
-Win Shares
-Offensive Win Shares
-Defensive Win Shares (tied with Tatum)
-BPM (Box Score Plus Minus)
-PER
-TS% (True Shooting %)
-Rebounding % (tied with Thompson)
-Blocks %
-Blocks per game
-FG%
-Steal %
Now let's see where he ranks among all players in the entire NBA:
-1st in Offensive Rating
-1st in blocks %
-2nd in TS%
-2nd in FG%
-3rd in Win Shares Per 48 Minutes
-5th in rebounding %
-5th in PER
-8th in Defensive Rating
-8th in BPM (above Kawhi Leonard and James Harden)
-13th in Steal %
He's also:
-3rd on the Celtics in VORP (only behind Tatum and Brown)
-5th on the Celtics in assist %
Per 36 minutes, he's averaging 15.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 3.7 blocks and 1.7 steals
Tonight was an off game. Everyone has them sometimes. But when you take a step back and look at the big picture and what he has done this season as a whole, it's pretty impressive.
