Ejection has no monetary penalty, unless I'm wrong.
$30k for OG is far less than Fred's single game suspension without pay
Yup Fred is losing 250k for this

The NBA has consistently suspended players who leave the bench area so maybe I'm missing something here. It is the one thing they do well instead of focusing on real crap that influence the game like flopping.

Adam loves the flopping/high scores.
Not sure what the big deal is leaving the bench area.
When a player makes a huge dunk, block shot...whatever, the bench clears and runs away. Pretty sure those bench players end up on the court. What a dumb rule.

its been a rule for a long time and enforced regularly, players are prohibited from leaving the bench during an altercation. The punishment is automatic, minimum 1 game.

Still a dumb rule.

He serves the suspension once he’s physically cleared
-During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their Violators will be subject to suspension, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $50,000.
=The suspensions will commence prior to the start of their next game.
=A team must have a minimum of eight players dressed and ready to play in every preseason and regular season game and nine in any playoff game.
=If five or more players leave the bench, the players will serve their suspensions alphabetically, according to the first letters of their last name.
=If seven bench players are suspended (assuming no participants are included), four of them would be suspended for the first game following the altercation. The remaining three would be suspended for the second game following the altercation.

Google "Kermit Washington punch"
The NBA is justifiably anal about minimizing the possibility of fights breaking out.
