IMO Kyrie is a GREAT TALENT, reminds me of Isaiah Thomas, THE GREAT ISAIAH THOMAS, with one big difference ... Isaiah LOVED basketball and hated to lose even more than he loved winning, which is true of all the great ones, that's why EVERYTHING mattered to them like playoff seeding and winning seemingly meaningless games in March like it was Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Alot of things you can criticize Kyrie for. not embracing the big moments or taking/making the big shots is certainly not one of them. He has taken big shots for this team all this year and last year and for the most part hit them. Hell our last close game he hit 2 HUGE daggers:
Kyrie hits huge shot to put nets up, then hits huge dagger to seal itAnd we remeber his game winner last year vs the knicks tooThen i mean, there was this game, which is just all-time insane clutchness:Then there is the laundry list of huge shots he hit as a celtic/CavAnd then there is the fact that you know, he hit the biggest shot of all timeAs great as Harden is, the one tiny criticizm as he has had some momoent late in the game or in a game 7 where he didnt come through. KD has been clutch, but not to Kyrie's level. From the small sample this year, Kyrie has been the guy to go to for big shots. The clippers game he did the work down the stretch. thats probanly the best example in a big game vs a great team that was close.
Kyrie doesnt shy from the moment can score vs great D. Durant is there too cause at 7 feet he can get his shot vs everyone.
Regardless of who takes that shot, saying Kyrie is either A) not clutch or B) shys away from the moment is absurd.
-He was clutch pre-lebron in cleveland
-He was clutch with lebron on the biggest stage
-He was super clutch in boston
-he has been clutch here
Also, when talking about being clutch, alot of the focus is on the game winner/last second shots. But kyrie has also been huge with keep games close, but shots to tie or take leads earlier in the 4th. or turning close games that are 2-4 points into blowouts by going on a 12 point run by himself
