That buzzer beater by Trent was costly. Doesn't look like anyone is budging, these next games against the Cavs/Wiz are must lose. Best case scenario is 6th, best case scenario we end up 10th.

We just need to find a way to lose 2 out of the next 3 against the Spurs / Magic / Thunder.

If we can do that, we're going to put ourselves in a great spot tank wise. The losses should start piling up pretty organically starting April 21st - May 4th.

Apr 21 Brooklyn Nets
Apr 24 @ New York Knicks
Apr 26 Cleveland Cavaliers
Apr 27 Brooklyn Nets
Apr 29 @ Denver Nuggets
May 1 @ Utah Jazz
May 2 @ Los Angeles Lakers
May 4 @ Los Angeles Clippers

It would be a massive win if teams like Washington or Cleveland jumped us in the standings, I'll gladly take the extra percentage points in the lottery.

We're dropping below these teams for sure.

This made me smile. if we can sneak a loss against OKC that would be clutch.

Thunder seem to be tanking monsters. They have Dort and a bunch of nobodies. Shai is supposed to get re-evaluated this week. Hopefully they put him back in the lineup soon. They're our number one competition for the 5th pick odds.

Dort just had a scintillating 42-point game and tried his hardest to will the Thunder to victory against the Jazz, but it wasn't enough.

I just realized that the "Loss" column is the most important thing to look at. Raps are now in a 3-way tie for fifth most losses, with the Thunder and Cavs. Cavs get Jarrett Allen back tomorrow from concussion protocol. They have a lot of young talent and don't "need" to tank. OKC of course are doing a power tank, which should hurt them karmicly with Adam Silver. How can you just not play good players like Horford? They really should be fined for this. Heavily. And drop five spots in the draft.

Can I just say how annoying it is that Minnesota currently has the highest chance to get the #1 pick in the draft? They have KAT, drafted Edwards #1 last season, and now have a good chance to land another top 3 pick this season. Even if they don't the pick goes to Golden State who drafted #2 last year and will get Klay back for 2021-2022.

Meanwhile we are here like peasants hoping to move our pick from likely 8-9 up to 7 or 6. We really need a rule that prohibits teams from drafting top 3 in consecutive years (don't get me started on that Lakers BS where they drafted 2nd overall 3 straight season).

If GSW get's a top pick I think it'll be available, and unlike last year I think they'll get some good offers.

Siakam for both their lottos and Wiggins. Raptors probably don’t do it though. I would think about it but probably say no too.

TBH when I thought about a trade it was with Siakam in mind. IIRC he's still seen as pretty valuable around the league, he's just not suited to the first option role. I'd think about the trade, but it'd depend one where the picks land and our trajectory as a franchise.

Considering this is a Tw0 thread and you're one of the biggest proponents for that, I am surprised you would say no to that trade. Both their lottos, our lottery pick, OG, Fred, etc? I say yes. Raptors get younger and roll out lottery pick rookies, one who should be top 5/6, and then watch Siakam play on GS after. Sign me up.

Always say no to Wiggins. If Siakam miraculously gets sent to the Warriors for one or both of their lottery picks, I want Draymond coming back the other way in *any* trade. Unlike Wiggins, he can actually be very useful for the Raptors, by being a great defensive anchor and playmaker. That would be a huge boon to the Raptors defense, which has somewhat fallen off this year. It would also help the Raptors offense, since Draymond can make plays from the elbow (something the Raptors have been sorely missing since Gasol left) and push the ball down the court in transition. Combine that with his relentless approach to basketball and his championship experience, two things Wiggins does not have, and you have someone who can help the Raptors actually win games, mentor their young guys like Anunoby, and give them a newfound sense of confidence that they have been missing throughout this entire season.

Lol, I respect that. The way I see it though, if this draft really is as good as many have claimed, that's a decent offer aside from Wiggins.

Totally random test. With tankathon. First time, Wolves win. Ignore. Second time GSW #4 (via Mn), Raps 3 but lets ignore that for sake of the discussion and future good fortunes, plus GSW pick #13.

For pick 4 and 13 I'm not too worried about Wiggins. I'd rather Draymond as well.

As a GSW fan which is more palatable?

5, 13, + Wiggins for Siakam or 5 + Draymond + salary filler?

If the pick is 4th overall that's likely the Jalen Green pick. I do that 10 times out of 10, especially with the 2nd lotto pick included.

If they're both out of top 5 then yeah I'd be hesitant, but if at least one lands top 5 then the FO needs to drive Siakam straight to the airport

It’s tough, we’ve talked about this potential trade before. I’ve hopped back and forth on saying yes to it.

I just feel like it really depends on where we land in the lottery. Which rookies we have a chance at getting and what Masai wants to do with Fred and Lowry.

Let’s say we got the first or second pick. That means we’re getting one of Cade or Mobley.

In that situation I would do a trade with the warriors for the 4th/5th pick. It would give us a chance to get a duo of Cade and green/Kuminga or Mobley and green/Kuminga/Suggs.
