This is practically the definition of cherry picking numbers and leaving out info. Yes, PG was 1-8 at the start of the game. Yes, we had a 20-3 deficit. But…

So, in all, 37 points on 29 shots. .577 TS%. Against Ben Simmons, on a team missing its leading scorer. C’mon man. I wish there had been fewer turnovers—but esqtvd is right. You’re being guarded by a first team All-D guy and that’ll happen. The real question is this: Do those turnovers minimize the scoring outburst and overall offensive effectiveness, and the ensuing strong team play? I think for pretty much everyone but you, the answer is no. PG had a really good game.
You can't have 6 assets and 7 turnovers I don't care who you are. That's a net negative.
If Ty Leu just DIDN'T have him as the point guard there wouldn't be issues. He had a bad game because of it, especially when it counted most in the clutch.
Check Doncic's turnovers sometime. High usage, it happens. And Simmons picked PG's pocket a number of times when he was trying to score, not playmake. That happens to scorers too.
As for the couple of major trolls here, I try to make them as invisible as possible except when I laugh at them. Nobody here cares what they think because they don't.
You wanna dog PG, that's fine I guess. But so far he's doing everything possible to make up for that Game 7. There are several others who deserve more heat, but as a team they're sticking together through a LOT of injuries and some [like Reggie and even Pat Pat] stepping up much more than expected.
As for the playmaking, Rondo is getting stretched out and I expect Bev to contribute, as well as Kawhi taking the load off PG too. PG doesn't want to play point guard, believe me. He was having the time of his life when he won Player of the Week, just scoring and playing D and not having to play Jesus Christ on skates.
Doncic also averages 9 assists a game and can have games where he is just extraordinary with the ball (19 assists last game??), with far less offensive options on his team w no Porzingis.
I totally agree with your bolded statement

I appreciate how we can disagree on issues without getting into personal attacks and focus on stats and analytics. I'd just hope the moderators aren't hypocritical with their stance on issues, still awaiting a response to my message.
I agree others deserve more heat as well. Kennard was horrendous and exactly why I do not want him playing, we can have Rondo and if not have TMann in the lineup instead. Having two :scorers" with bad defense does not work. Why not put in TMann to go with Reggie who is a great balance to Reggie in the backcourt???
I'm going into the playoffs not expecting Bev or Ibaka to make an impact assuming injuries are still an issue (or worse Bev plays for 25 minutes then gets too injured to play the rest of the season). Rondo so far doesn't look gassed at all, so hopefully Ty is just being super cautious with him. Yeah I dont think PG wants to play PG either, but Lue is making him. At this point I'd rather have Kennard or whoever he subs in play PG and just let Paul George do what he does best which is score and play d. His playmaking is god awful and ruining what could be great games for him.
