Get Kevin Love down here.

K-Love would be über in the Meyers role from last year: play off the ball as a spacing big, jack 3s indiscriminately, and sit in the middle of a zone gobbling defensive rebounds.

That contract though

Exactly and he is a legit scorer. If Love comes here this summer, he would be motivated and get in really good shape. He has two years left on his contract.

My initial thought would be this on the idea of getting Love. If the Heat end up resigning Oladipo on a cheap contract along with Nunn (obviously miss out on Lowry) and Robinson. Resign Ariza and Dedmon on low income deals, Iggy retires (returns for the min). Pick up Dragic contract and trade him to Cleveland for Kevin Love. Whatever Cleveland want to do with Dragic that's between him and Cleveland idgaf.

PG: Oladio - Nunn
SG: Butler - Herro
SF: Robinson - Okpala
PF: Love/Ariza
Ce: Adebayo - Dedmon/Achiuwa

I know many are gonna point out the production that Love is putting out now. I do not think that is indicative of who he is, I 100% believe he is dogging it and even when he is missing games. I think at the minimum when motivated as a starter he is a high level three points shooter scoring between 15 and 18 pts a game and a high level rebounder and passer and High IQ in general. Very good screen and popper and provides a high level role player in that aspect. Having two elite shooters on the court with Dipo, Butler and Adebayo could enhance the Heat offense back to the top ten and potentially top 5. His pick and pop and passing will also do wonders when playing with Nunn and Herro. Also a player who you can have at end of games to take the big shot when open ala Ray Allen.

The Heat now have a good role player mixture of shooters and defenders on the team. Rotations depends on matchups. And Loves provides another rebounder. Having Dedmon, Love and Achiuwa > Olynyk, Leonard and Silva

Also the following year the Heat would have a huge expiring contract to use in a trade so they will not have to trade an entire roster to match a player contract

Whatever the club is, it will want to keep the dragic and trevor in the team on a veteran contract.

Nunn, Robinson and Oladipo's play-off performance will determine their fate in the team.

Not sure what team would even give him an offer at this point. Definitely not a long term deal.

Dragic will have suitors so a min contact is not happening

Nunn is having a great year and will get paid

Robinson is having a great year and will also get paid

Doesn't Bam contract kick in soon? so just to keep Dragic Nunn and Robinson we might be looking at the luxury tax.

K-Love auditioning for Riley right on cue: 25/6/3 on 9/14 shooting (7/10 from 3)

As much as people will hate it, trading for K-Love in the offseason feels a lot like the ‘Tione Walker trade. Exercise the TOs on Dragic/Iggy, then trade them before the end of the year for Love/Hartenstein. Dragic can be bought out and return for the vet min (of BAE).

We can then resign all our FAs and roll with the following line-up:

Dipo/Nunn/Dragic(BAE)
Robinson/Herro/vet min(Solo Hill?)
Butler/KZ/Strus
Love/Ariza(MLE)/Bjelica
Bam/Dedmon/Precious

It’s a tax team, but it’s making it deeper than the current roster. Plus we have the deals, youth and picks to make a trade for a legit star if one comes available.

Why is he bum? because he was unfortunate to have a big injury & as a result currently unable to get back into form?
Championship teams experience adversities. We in that process. Started gm1. Remember this time. Remember this pain. Our time is coming...

We need to go 6-2 in the last 8 to be 4/5 to put us at 40-34. Problem is out of the 3 we are fighting with, Boston has the easiest schedule, i donno if we should push for 4/5 to face them.

Knicks has a crazy west coast trip left playing all the top teams in the west who are still fighting for seeding or even making the top6 , i think they go 3-6 at best in the last 9 to finish at 38-34

Boston has a easy schedule and i see them going 6-2 easily to finish at 40-34

Atlanta has a pretty good schedule left aswell but i think they go max 4-3, more likely 3-4 to finish 39-33 or 38-34

I'd push for 4th seed even if we face Boston. If we win both games against them, unlikely, we might push them 6th/7th. Those games are critical. The same way if we lose both we might be in trouble.

The Last 15 games the Heat have the 10th ranked offense at 114.1 offrtg and 16th ranked defense with a 112.6 defrtg, with a 15-9 record.

The last 11 games (since Oladipo injury) Kendrick Nunn is averaging 16.8 pts, 52.9 FG% and 43.2 3P% taking 11.6 fga.

The last 15 games Duncan Robinson is averaging 13.1 pts, 43.7 3P% on 8.4 three point attempts per game.

The last 15 games Trevor Ariza is averaging 10.4 pts, 45.0 FG%, 39.5 3P%

These are some really good role player numbers.

Max Strus took 32 shots from 2 point range this year.

He scored on 29 of those.

That's 90.6 %.

Nice.

Looking at the Heat offensive rating and defensive ratings, they have been very bipolar throughout the year.

Kendrick Nunn basketball IQ has noticeable improved.

Need to get Tyler Herro back, the bench needs to go into the playoffs playing strong.
