K-Love would be über in the Meyers role from last year: play off the ball as a spacing big, jack 3s indiscriminately, and sit in the middle of a zone gobbling defensive rebounds.
That contract though
Exactly and he is a legit scorer. If Love comes here this summer, he would be motivated and get in really good shape. He has two years left on his contract.
My initial thought would be this on the idea of getting Love. If the Heat end up resigning Oladipo on a cheap contract along with Nunn (obviously miss out on Lowry) and Robinson. Resign Ariza and Dedmon on low income deals, Iggy retires (returns for the min). Pick up Dragic contract and trade him to Cleveland for Kevin Love. Whatever Cleveland want to do with Dragic that's between him and Cleveland idgaf.
PG: Oladio - Nunn
SG: Butler - Herro
SF: Robinson - Okpala
PF: Love/Ariza
Ce: Adebayo - Dedmon/Achiuwa
I know many are gonna point out the production that Love is putting out now. I do not think that is indicative of who he is, I 100% believe he is dogging it and even when he is missing games. I think at the minimum when motivated as a starter he is a high level three points shooter scoring between 15 and 18 pts a game and a high level rebounder and passer and High IQ in general. Very good screen and popper and provides a high level role player in that aspect. Having two elite shooters on the court with Dipo, Butler and Adebayo could enhance the Heat offense back to the top ten and potentially top 5. His pick and pop and passing will also do wonders when playing with Nunn and Herro. Also a player who you can have at end of games to take the big shot when open ala Ray Allen.
The Heat now have a good role player mixture of shooters and defenders on the team. Rotations depends on matchups. And Loves provides another rebounder. Having Dedmon, Love and Achiuwa > Olynyk, Leonard and Silva
Also the following year the Heat would have a huge expiring contract to use in a trade so they will not have to trade an entire roster to match a player contract
