I mean last I checked he was scoring20% more ppm than deroxan was. So he gets opportunities. I do remember Casey and the raptors freezing him out a lot.
I was going to say that's because JV is way more efficient than Demar but I just went and looked at the numbers and was amazed to see how much more efficient Demar has gotten these past two years. As a Raptor his TS% was anywhere from .503 (very poor) to .555 (average) and his median was around .535 which was pretty bad. But in his two years as a Spur his TS% has been .603 and .591 so a vast improvement and now almost elite. What a difference good coaching makes! And obviously Demar has been willing to evolve so props to him. Averaging 6.9 assists a game too. wow.
As for JV he gets a lot of his points fighting for offensive boards and tip ins. He went 12-15 last game and the rest of the team shot about 33% in a crucial game they lost. I will never understand why you don't give the only guy who is scoring in a key game a bigger load.
