Yeah, apparently, since the Jazz double Jonas, he's like not DPOY caliber or something.

Feel the same way. They're playing with huge heart and Ja is a phenom; great to see him blossom on a big stage. (Still want them to lose though :D I'm sure Grizz fans understand.)

Great game both ways. Jazz kept answering every mini run and wouldn’t let us get over the hump. We finally did then they answered the bell on both ends. Just do many shooters and smart veterans.
Grizz are relentless but kill some of their momentum by themselves with bad shots and dumb fouls.
Positives from my perspective:
Ja is for real. He’s got IT. Controls the pace and when we get reliable shooters everywhere the sky is the limit.
JJJ finally, finally got aggressive on the boards and helped us get the lead. I’ve been waiting in the aggression. He missed some shots I expect him to make but that will come. He’s gotta be under control tho.
DB giveth, DB taketh. Been the story since year 1. Looks like a non explosive Kobe for 35 minutes then fouls a shooter at the end of the clock, dribbles it off his foot, misses 3 wide open shots, etc. But, he has raised his profile quite a bit the postseason. He has been a consistent scorer and hard nosed defender.

Props to the Jazz, Conley didn’t miss today. Love how every part of that roster fits perfectly except Niang.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure his confidence is fine. Not sure if he regained it after his fourth block, 13th board, or 21st point.

And oddly enough didn’t foul out . Jonas should continue to go at him when possible. They need Gobert to stay in foul trouble

The main thing that I noticed on Utah's side is how out-of-rhythm Mitchell is, and not in terms of his shotmaking, but he is forcing his offense more than usual. That was the big step he had made this year, playing to the rhythm of the game. Right now he is not doing that, you can tell when he has decided he is going to try and crank one up on a play, and he is missing open players quite a bit. It's fine, though, I really think it's just about building up that on-court awareness after a long layoff.

Memphis is really fantastic. I think they have something with Ja-Brooks-Val that is pretty fun, and a healthy JJJ will really help out. What they need now is a long-term answer as a second wing. They should also hold onto Anderson long term, let him play the Joe Ingles role off the bench (which, I'd really love to have him in Utah, he'd be a perfect fit).

Canadians are nice. Brooks didn't get the memo.

More people need to see this play.

The difference in this series could be whether or not the refs pay attention to all of Brooks’ off-ball bumping, shoving, pushing, and all-around BS.

I admire how hard he plays, but garbage like this is the difference between a scrappy guy who becomes a good player in this league and a trash dirty player who gets no respect from the real ballers.

If he keeps acting like this, he’ll quickly be untouchable.

Agreed on Mitchell, he’s still a great player with his shotmaking to go along with that strength and balance.
We are going through the same thing with JJJ. Him being out for 60 games was a killer.
Man, how perfect of a fit is Conley for you guys? He looked as good as ever on offense

It was scary for a minute last year when his regular season was so impacted by injuries, but Conley is amazing, I've always loved him as a player but he has exceeded expectations.

JJJ is going to be really fun when he is healthy. Memphis is going to be scary next season.

Grizzlies are a tough, physical defensive team. They also have a good coaching staff that's gameplanning to stop them. The Jazz are still finding ways to put up a lot of points on decent efficiency. Jazz need Mitchell and Clarkson to regain the level they had around the All Star break, but the Jazz aren't frauds. They're pretty solid on both ends, kinda like the Bucks.

That video is overblown to me. He jabs him to make Conley think he’s pushing off as he shoots to the rim.... Conley doesn’t bite, so then DB does it again and gives a little shove as he goes.
Players do that every possession.

You may be right. I may be wrong. I’ll let people decide who watch the video.

In the best case, most generous interpretation, it is just another example of Brooks doing a lot of off-ball shoving and pushing. He does it really smartly and effectively most of the time, but it’s illegal. Good officiating will foul him out 80% of the time.

Memphis just needs a true #2 scoring option. Dillon Brooks ain’t it, he seems to be the ultimate giveth and taketh away player. He is one of the most frustrating players for me to watch. Even though I love the guy’s game, his shot selection is just crazy sometimes. But I think him no longer being asked to be the #2 guy would be huge.

I’ve said it a few times this year, but a JJJ/Ingram swap this summer would be very interesting. A wing scorer and true #2 scorer like Ingram to go along with Ja would be very interesting to see.

He does this stuff trying to get under Mike's skin. Kind of like the headbutt in Game 1.

Mitchell may need to play better to take Game 4, but if he does, I think the Jazz can win the next 2 games. The Jazz as a team have a few more tools than the Grizzlies.

Apparently, Mitchell was on a minutes restriction. He had 29 pts. in 30 mins.

Hubie Brown's commentary: "If the Jazz score more points than the Grizzlies, they will win the game. Conversely, if the Grizzlies score more points than the Jazz then they will win game. So, it really all comes down to who can score more points at the end of the game."
