No. Kyrie just cemented why he left Boston and why people LEAVE Boston. He exposed the racist obsessive nature of their fans.

It's funny how he posted this crap after a 6 point loss, but suddenly after a blowout win where there were even MORE fans in the arena booing Kyrie and even tossed a bottle at him because he torched Boston, this same poster isn't anywhere to be found. Suwanee is a **** ing bitch.

It is troubling the tone of their thread on this and also Local Boston radio this morning. Rich shirtenlieb (an enormous homer and former music joc who doesnt know much sports) is calling on the celtics to physically respond by "going oldschool" on him.

Majority, but not all of their posters are basically saying something along the lines of "kyrie is saying boston is racist for throwing a bottle, saying fan was dumb but they get it, and that bosotn should respond with being physical/hurting him"

its kind of gross. After the entire world and celtics confirmed boston fans are a hotbed of racism, they swipe that under the rug and strawman kyrie as using the race card on the bottle thrower.

Lol. It was a long weekend. People may have better things to do than surfing on a sports forum.

Kyrie played much better in game 4. Props to him. But I stand by my point that Boston got into his head. Case in point, he caused more controversy by stepping on Lucky. And that was BEFORE the bottle incident. I don’t care what you think, but that’s just wrong in my book. That’s insulting the whole Boston organization and their history. It’s unjustifiable no matter how you slice it.

They got in his head so much that he dropped 39 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and helped lead an complete laugher of a blowout win? Maybe it was personal that they said F*** Kyrie for 3 hours, or that in general he has an ill will due to the racist stuff towards players for so long and thats important to him... so yeah, id agree its personal. but the idea the crowd being rowdy negatively impacted his play in either game is kind of absurd.

And that was BEFORE the bottle incident. I don’t care what you think, but that’s just wrong in my book. That’s insulting the whole Boston organization and their history. It’s unjustifiable no matter how you slice it.

And whats wrong with insulting the Boston organization and their history? I mean its littered with racism, beligerence, violence... Lucky is basically a hate symbol if you listen to athletes around the league and their experience with Boston fans.

As far as the bottle, it is effing disgusting that Boston fans are more concerned about a bottle being thrown the tons of current, past, presemt players/coaches from the NBA/MLB including current celtics calling your fan base racist. like if you yourself are not a racist and your big complaint is kyrie and not your fanbase being disproportionately white supremecists somethings is wrong.,

They're calling for violence.

If your reaction to being called a racist is to wish physical harm on the person who makes the accusation, you're telling on yourself.

Stepping on a logo that feels no emotion and experiences no pain is not a justification for someone throw a bottle at someone that can actually get hurt. Anyone equating stepping on a logo to how Boston has treated players is a damn fool (KG).

There were more people in the building in Game 4 and the boos did nothing but spur him to destroy the Celtics.

and LOL @ Kyrie stepping on a stupid logo that gets stepped on 100000 times per game being worse than racism or throwing a full bottle of water at someone. You are warped.

What history is Kyrie insulting? The part where someone **** in Bill Russell's bed? Or the fact that he was so disgusted with Boston fans that he refused to have his jersey retired in front of them? Pray tell, what history did Kyrie insult?

The history of like 17 something championships?

If you can’t tell the difference between stepping on it in games and stomping disrespectfully on purpose after the game, then there’s really nothing I can say.

The pos who threw the bottle is a scumbag and deserves to be charged. But nobody is equaling those incidents, at least not me. But it doesn’t mean what Kyrie did was right.

And stop with the name calling.

I know you guys have a history with Boston because of the KG/Pierce trade. I get it. But what’s wrong is wrong. Just because somebody did something worse doesn’t make your wrongdoing right.

Again if you are keeping score:

-no retaliation on kyrie
-no hard fouls on kyrie
-every celtics gives prolonged hugs/dap to kyrie
-all young celtics talking to kyrie after the game
-kyrie jersey swaps

Boston fans may think there is some bad blood, but there isnt. its just you. you cant get over he left you. deal with it. and address the racism within your fanbase instead of glossing it over because "there is racism everywhere"

when tons of black athletes bring it up, even your own players... its a problem

/Thread.

Step back and think about how insidious the gas lighting being done here is.

Kyrie asked in so many words not to be called racial slurs, or to be met with violence.

This is what is "wrong" to this guy and others.

A Black man asking a fanbase of predominantly white men, to not dehumanize him. Put the whole logo stomp BS aside for a second. Even before Kyrie did that, people wanted players on the Celtics to hurt and possibly injure Kyrie. We could dig through the Celtics forum and find multiple instances of them wanting one of the Celtics to harm him. All because he hoped that things would remain about basketball and not devolve into racial slurs and violence.

This is a sick mindset, and you see where white supremacy really is a disease in this country. A Black man asking people to PLEASE treat him like a human being gets met with ANGER, calls for violence and someone actually committing violence by throwing a full bottle of water at him.

Let that sink in. He didn't say "Boston fans are a pack of racists". He simply said out loud that he hoped that people would respect his humanity. And they got mad about that.

This is just sad.... although not surprising given ainge pretended he never heard anything about racist fans in Boston despite his own players saying it and all the stuff with Bill Russell. Not to mention, coming through utah/playing with BYU and then playing in Boston during the 80s.

What a complete scumbag ainge is. Trying to get your players to go fight Kyrie because he accurately called your fans out for being racist and then stomped on your logo; which basically is a symbol for hate at this point... Karma just got him.

Would loved to have been a fly on the wall to see the players look when he tried to get them to go beat up Kyrie. Like, dude... were black... we know what Kyrie is dealing with. We just listened to 17,000 fans curse at him and chuck a bottle at his head.

I had to read this twice to make sure that this wasn't satire. What on EARTH?????

Jason Tatum's agent would be wise to start putting out feelers to force a trade sooner than later. Get that kid out of there.
