Team IQ is in shambles after the dissension between Randle's future here between its fearless leaders.

Also Team IQ and Team RJ might be heading to Portland

If they trade Bam why would Lillard go to Miami? Lillard and Butler aint winning anything.

they would still have some cap space. if we're being honest, he's not winning anywhere unless he joins bron & ad somehow if the nets stay healthy.

Best bet is developing rj and seeing what happens for better or worst. Unfortunately we know how this song plays out he iq and multiple picks will go to some team for a player we have no business trading for and we'll have a couple of seasons of playoff bliss before going back to team tank

The only realistic chance he has to win if Kawhi plays with him. Whos the only team that can fit them both in? :o

Dame is such a defensive liability you'd really need to put him on a team with a DPOY candidate... Utah, Philly (if Embiid can stay healthy)... The Nets are going to be unbeatable if they stay healthy, but Dame and another superstar with defense could probably sneak one in should anyone in that core get hurt for a season.

kawhi randle lillard vs a nets team that has had a year to build around their three, a Milwaukee team that has done the same and a sixers team thats pretty good as well. That team is good enough for top 3 in the east barring injuries

joining embiid would be his best bet to me (if he could ever stay healthy). the sixers/rockets ruined the league by not trading simmons for harden so who knows if they even want to.

If they were able to pull it off:

Lillard
Bullock (MLE)
Kawhi
Randle
Mitch

would be a dangerous starting lineup.

I think if they flame out spectacularly in the 2nd round against ATL with Simmons and Tobias running the show, they will consider ending Process basketball in Philly.

Embiid is an all-around generational big who is relatively young but his injury history ages him considerably. His window is closing quickly, and the Sixers probably will want to go all in to win now... Can't wait on Simmons to develop anything resembling offense outside of 3 feet.

You back channel Kawhi to stand by while we first trade for Lillard (who demands a trade to NY). This way... we don't have to overpay to the extent that the Clippers did for PG.

That line-up above is quite deadly and a definite contender. I would still rather have a 2-way PG/SG type next to Lillard so I'd use remaining assets to try to S&T for Lonzo or for Brogdon to complete the team. Every piece is important. I'm gonna keep dreaming of homerun scenarios like the one above just like I have been every single off-season as a Knicks fan

well you would wait to sign Bullock and go over the cap to do it with the room exception.

The knicks have about 60 MM in cap space. I think rough estimate. Lillard makes about 39 MM (but say RJ, Obi, Knox, and IQ) are in the trade. That is about 20 MM going out. So that would allow us to get Kawhi in for about 35-36 starting salary or something like that.

Yes. Mitch 2m option. Randle, pick up team option 20m then extend. Kawhi signed into max slot. Lillard traded for using RJ, IQ, Obi's salaries plus remaining cap. Then you use MLE and other exceptions to fill things out.

As long as Randle isn't playing like the worst basketball player ever, that team could actually contend for a title. Not bad. But I don't think Lillard or Kawhi are interested in teaming up, are they?

Tatum is incredible... He's gonna be what Grant Hill could've been without the injuries.

The Knicks need to just stay the course, accumulate assets, and do what they can to pair Tatum and Luka in 4-5 years... That duo would win like 3 championships. Perfect combo skills wise, next generation superstars.
