ESPN will probably non stop talk about what the Lakers need to do in the offseason now.
I listened to the Hoops Collective pod this morning and Windhorst litterally sounded like he wanted to cry. The pod was definitely Laker centric and windy was making excuses but the others dudes were pushing back some.

Is Dennis Schroder the 1st Lebron James casualty of the series??? I'm sure there'll be more to come with James! As many have already said, It must be absolute hell to play with Lebron and know that you're walking on eggshells basically!!! :nonono:

Man, woke up today remembering that this Suns team eliminated the Defending champions Lakers team lead by LeBron on the road. Just wild.

The whole NBA, ex-Suns and Lebron haters, are rooting for the Lakers in one form or another. Without the Lakers, the interest in the playoff is going to nosedive. It affects their income, etc. So I can see people being emotional. At the end of the day, moneys speak.

Great scene. I'm surprised more don't give him props on the GB. Some of you here should bump this with their Monty thoughts if you think he's been a big part of our success.

Just turned on ESPN First take and Stephen A Smith was talking about Booker and Mitchell said that Mitchell is a superstar while Booker is getting there. Is Mitchell really a superstar? That's enough tv for me turning it off.

They will start when Monty take us to the finals this year. It took 70% of GB posters to finally acknowledge Booker after beating the Lakers. With Monty it will take much longer but "US" fans know important he has been to our success.

There were a lot of Booker fans prior to that. He was rated like 15th or something like that before the season on the GB. But more probably coming around on him.

Well he's been voted in 2 all star games and already had monster games in the playoffs last year and big games this year.

Hard to say who's better...of course as a Suns fan I want to say Book but Mitchell with the better 3 pt shooting, passing and defense this year and fewer turnovers. Booker better from 2.

Mitchell also with the far better net rating, WS/48, BPM and VORP if you put stock in those.

I understand that Mitchell is having a great year and continues to improve but labeling him a superstar is a reach. And this is coming from someone who enjoys watching Mitchell. When it comes to superstars I have Lebron, AD, Curry, Durant, Harden, Embiid, Jokic, Gianni, Doncic, Lillard & Kawhi.. Beal and Irwing not quite sure were I'd rank them.

Oh yeah, I don't think he's a superstar along with that list, just about where Booker is....Beal would be too if he had a similar supporting cast as Booker or MItchell.

Kyrie is a superstar even if he may not be all around better or at least much better than those last guys...just a lot of fans.

You nailed it.

Hopefully Brooklyn continues to advance, so the networks still televise the Finals without their precious Lakers.

I have Mitchell/Booker pretty neck and neck. Dont think either one is meaningfully better than the other overall.
Trying out this Substack thing. Suns and NBA thoughts. Check it out: https://hoopsnexus.substack.com/

Windhorst should give Lebron like 5% of what he makes - he owes his career on ESPN to that guy. For me, he is not Zach Lowe in terms of knowledge of the game and he is not Woj in terms of breaking stories. A lot of hyperbole

Excuses for the Lakers - front office did a crappy job of putting players around James . Pelinka, Rich Paul - not good
They did win a title - so whatever you think -and they lost a lot of talent to get it: Randle, Ingram, Clarkson, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart - but they got a title. But they have some decisions to make

My favorite part of the game was how the Suns handled AD. Booker absolutely went after him from the opening tip to test that groin. While this seems like an obvious thing it doesn't always happen like that. The suns smelt blood and went for the kill immediately.

That would do Windhorst a favor too. Less money for food
