I listened to the Hoops Collective pod this morning and Windhorst litterally sounded like he wanted to cry. The pod was definitely Laker centric and windy was making excuses but the others dudes were pushing back some.bwgood77 wrote:shrink wrote:Congrats! I hope the national media finally starts giving you the respect your team has earned.
ESPN will probably non stop talk about what the Lakers need to do in the offseason now.

They will start when Monty take us to the finals this year. It took 70% of GB posters to finally acknowledge Booker after beating the Lakers. With Monty it will take much longer but "US" fans know important he has been to our success.

Well he's been voted in 2 all star games and already had monster games in the playoffs last year and big games this year.
Hard to say who's better...of course as a Suns fan I want to say Book but Mitchell with the better 3 pt shooting, passing and defense this year and fewer turnovers. Booker better from 2.
Mitchell also with the far better net rating, WS/48, BPM and VORP if you put stock in those.

I understand that Mitchell is having a great year and continues to improve but labeling him a superstar is a reach. And this is coming from someone who enjoys watching Mitchell. When it comes to superstars I have Lebron, AD, Curry, Durant, Harden, Embiid, Jokic, Gianni, Doncic, Lillard & Kawhi.. Beal and Irwing not quite sure were I'd rank them.

Windhorst should give Lebron like 5% of what he makes - he owes his career on ESPN to that guy. For me, he is not Zach Lowe in terms of knowledge of the game and he is not Woj in terms of breaking stories. A lot of hyperbole
Excuses for the Lakers - front office did a crappy job of putting players around James . Pelinka, Rich Paul - not good
They did win a title - so whatever you think -and they lost a lot of talent to get it: Randle, Ingram, Clarkson, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart - but they got a title. But they have some decisions to make
