Trade for More Cap Space

Frank Ntilikina (8.3)

So the way I calculate it is if we trade Frank Ntilikina & Kevin Knox for Cap Space,

Trade the 19th Pick & 21 Pick to a Cap Space Team (I absolutely would never ever do this )

And not pick up Luca Vildoza contact option,

Against a 112 Million Cap, I have 47.6 in Guaranteed Salaries which equals

64.4 Million in Cap Space, not 73 Million in Cap Space

So what am I missing? Is it Mitchell Robinson's Cap HOLD?

Technically, we can waive him to free up 15 million

And the article you cite explains the "max" money is declining every option, every non-guaranteed contract, and renouncing all FAs. That's how they got to the 74 million figure

The third chart is the "projected" cap space, which has us at 64 million, because we don't waive Randle, so that's what our cap space is likely gonna be.

1) Mitch has a team option still not picked for next year.

2) Each roster spots cost us almost 1M.

3) Frank is an RFA next season.

4) If you waive Randle and picks, you have 34M in payroll: Barret (9), IQ(2), Mitch (2), Noah (6), Randle (4), Obi (5), Knox (6). 41M counting 7 Roster Spots. If we believe the salary cap will be 114M, ot will give us a cap room of 73M.
