that's not the rule.

I thought a flagrant 1 counted as a tech, but i could def be wrong. I did try to look it up and it says 2 flagrant 1s is an ejection, I guess I just assumed fragrant translates to 1 tech.

nah 2 flagrant 1s is an ejection, but 1 tech and 1 flagrant 1 isn't an ejection

lol, exactly. There are few frustrations in sports compared to watching Bill Laimbeer or Kevin McHale take a horrifying, potentially injurious cheap shot on one of your best players and not even get kicked out of the game. That sh*t suuuuuuuuuucked.

Nuggets weren't winning this game anyways. There's a reason Jokic was so frustrated. He knows it's over.

Absolutely no need to wind up that hard to strip a basketball.

It was careless and unnecessary.

The ejection was warranted.

Really shameful act from an MVP.

And you eject him?

Wow.
He didn't go for the ball though, he took a full swing in order to foul Payne because of an anger, and unluckily, he hit him in the face with a full swing. That's a definition of flagrant 2, if that's not a flagrant 2, people would hit themselves in the face every game pretending that they ''go for the ball''.

Read on Twitter

Don't be silly, he didn't go for the ball.

Do you realize how stupid you sound, considering that his hand hit the ball more than anything else? He threw a punch and accidentally got almost all ball, according to you?

Sure, he could have broken his nose.

But... cmon. I've been smacked badly in the nose before and I didn't lie on the ground for 60 seconds holding my face. He acted like he blew his knee out.

So everyone in this thread agrees with me, the commentators agree with me, the refs agree with me, that espn article agrees with me and absolutely no one has agreed with you and you still want t to argue. Think about it for a second

How about you think for a second why Campazzo was in awe even after the call was made, pleading his case for like half a minute? What would be his motive? I was shaking my head when the replay happened and Reggie didn't pay attention to who actually hit Booker in the eye, but it often happens with announcers. And yea, people just didn't pay attention so they're agreeing with you.

You’re really going to make me go back and record it just to prove you’re an idiot aren’t you?

I hope something like this won't happen but I was just thinking if at least half of the Denver fans decide to throw water bottles or anything to the Suns players after the game, security will be in shambles. They won't be able to arrest everybody

The bright side for Nuggets fans. Now they got an excuse that this wasn't a real sweep. "Joker didn't play half the game."

You're not? It wasn't that bad, obviously Jokic should have gotten the flagrant. It wasn't painful enough to moan on the ground for minutes. I'm the neutral one here I'm not a Suns or Nuggets fan. Just find the soccer fake injury acts annoying.

I don't think Jokic should have been ejected in a game like this, however you are underselling the hit. A guy that size winding up and having his huge forearm comedown and across your nose would hurt like hell. Depending on the hit could rattle your head a bit, eyes water, could break a nose. You act like Jokic kissed him on the cheek.

Right. It's still a 7 footer swinging with all he's got.
It's the difference in size between those guys that made it se more serious. If it was him hitting Ayton they may not even have called a flagrant

Should’ve been flagrant 1. Jokic got hit in the face a lot harder by Kanter in previous series and Kanter got flagrant 1.

If Jokic came over to Payne right after the hit and apologized he might have just gotten a flagrant 1. Instead he went right at Booker right after which pretty much sealed his fate. I dont agree with the ejection specially at an elimination game but I understand why the refs did it.

:D yup.

Nuggets were saving their midrange defense for the 4th quarter and the next 3 games to really surprise the Suns

Man, what a sneaky game plan by Malone. Really keeping the opponent on their heels

Maybe just maybe don't do something as stupid as Jokic did and he will not have the opportunity.
