Yeah, that's the strategic wrinkle that puzzled me.

I mean, he could have just been freelancing several possessions, but it sure looked like the coaching staff wanted him to make those DHO reads. In his first game back, I'm not sure it was the right response to have him executing passes that require precise timing and in-game feel. I know Nash was searching for playmaking replacements after being down Harden and Kyrie, but sheesh! Pick anyone other than the guy in his first game back.

It's a nick picky feedback, but when you don't have 3 superstars on the floor, you really have earn your bones as a coach. Our margin for error is much smaller, and tactical mistakes like this are killer.

thonnisbeastley wrote:Lol you guys are pathetic. There was nothing dirty about Giannis' play. He has extremely long/lanky legs and he moved into position for a rebound. Had he gotten there half a second later Kyrie would've landed fine. He's looking at the ball the entire time. There's absolutely zero intent to injure. Definitely not a flagrant. Just an unfortunate incident. Also...Giannis is a foot inside the circle. Do you want the NBA to change the rules so that no one is allowed to move/position for a rebound until the player attacking the basket has landed? What a fun league that would be. Guess you have to assign flagrants to all the moving blocks Giannis got called for a charge on as well, since they are intentionally moving into his space with the intent of knocking him down.

For those that want to objectively give Giannis a retroactive flagrant 1, remind yourselves that you then need to give Joe Harris a retroactive flagrant 2 and suspend him from game 5 for his foul on Pat Connaughton.

KD, Harden, and Kyrie played what? 8 games together during the regular season? If you thought they'd magically all remain healthy throughout the playoffs you were kidding yourselves. Team is fragile. PJ living rent free in Durant's head right now.

What goes around comes around. Remember that. Giannis isn't made of steel.

Also, reported.

edit: Oh good, someone already reported your dumb ass. You didn't dare come over here when your team was down 0-2 but now that your overrated MVP injured one of our stars on a dirty play, you want to talk ****. Enjoy your suspension.

Jeff Green had multiple horrific turnovers yesterday. I'll chalk it up to rust but he has to be better than that.

The fact that Harden isn't ruled out is a good sign.

In my opinion he is probably fine. But the biggest concern is re-injury. He could got out for 5 minutes and get hurt again.

But how much will it really improve in 2 days?

I wouldn't mind playing him at home. Sitting for Game 6. And then playing 7. That way he doesn't have to play too much at one time.

Harden and KAI out. We'll need an all hands on deck performance from the team. Play with the same kind of desperation the Bucks did.

Need Joe Harris, Green, Blake etc to step up. Also hoping to see a some smart wrinkles from our coaching staff.

I don’t believe in throwing in the towel and surrendering, so I will keep my towel to bite on as I watch the season conclude.

He is still ramping up stage. Needs to be at full tilt for a couple workouts which he probably started yesterday or today in earnest. This sucks. Only way to win is Durant needs 40 and Blake has to be a bigger piece in the mix. He’s going to have to post up some mismatches. And of course Harris has to hit his friggin 3’s. Green was really rusty but he can provide scoring as well and has to. Mike James has inherited a huge responsibility but he really just needs to bring the ball down and hunt a mismatch from picks. I don’t mind him shooting open 3’s but they are a big team in the paint. Maybe bring Alize in to rough up Giannis to put him on the charity stripe.

I mean, we probably need 105-115 points to win game 5.

If Durant scored 45, that means you need 70 from everyone else.

I dont know if we would get 70 from:

Harris (20)
Blake (15)
Green (10)
Brown (15)
Shamet (10)

I just dont see where the points come from, even if durant has an enormous game. we basically have to get 40+ from durant AND hold them under 100 points AND our shooters need to be on.

we need an explosion of scoring from joe harris and blake griffin. 6-7 3s from harris could be the equalizer or some blake griffin vintage moments. trying to stay optimistic and concerned about trying to overuse Durant when we still have game 6 to play as well

Nah, he isn't, just not allowed to sit courtside for the remainder of this series.

he was terminated as an employee of the nets and now servers only as an employee to durant. he needs a ticket to attend games and is barred the rest of the playoffs. this was confirmed on carton & roberts on WFAN.

can't find a single report that backs that up, they all say he's banned from Milwaukee and not allowed to be courtside for the remainder of series.

I could see Mike James getting a dozen this game especially if our shooters hit shots to where they have to abandon the paint some . Plus brown has shown he can punish their bigs. I was calling for us to get PJ Tucker and now he has been a real **** to deal with on the other team.

The bright side is refs may be in our favor this time. One would think the league would like to make this a 7 game series

If the refs make it a fair game and don’t allow them to play physical with us, we may still have a chance, however slim it is.
