Yeah, that's the strategic wrinkle that puzzled me.
I mean, he could have just been freelancing several possessions, but it sure looked like the coaching staff wanted him to make those DHO reads. In his first game back, I'm not sure it was the right response to have him executing passes that require precise timing and in-game feel. I know Nash was searching for playmaking replacements after being down Harden and Kyrie, but sheesh! Pick anyone other than the guy in his first game back.
It's a nick picky feedback, but when you don't have 3 superstars on the floor, you really have earn your bones as a coach. Our margin for error is much smaller, and tactical mistakes like this are killer.
