Sixers can’t afford to lose this game. Embiid is looking worst and worst as the game goes on. Just grabbing rebounds and forcing up shots. He may last 7 games. Need to win this game and bring it home in game 5.

Teams like the Sixers get helped out by their reputation quite a bit. Because they’re known to be a tough and physical defensive minded team, they get away with more contact than the Hawks would be able to for example.

This feels like one of those games where the relatively small lead doesn't adequately reflect the control one team has on the game. Philly looking dominant without really trying too hard it seems. Hawks have to figure some things out quickly and catch fire before this series gets away from them.

The Hawks are actually playing better than the score reflects. If they were shooting their average from three they'd be in the lead right now.

Yeah it's tricky. They've definitely become a far more balanced and therefore dangerous team. In that sense, they had the playoffs in mind - both making them and being competitive in them.

With the depth, Young doesn't have to do it all by himself (to whatever extent that was the perception either by him or fans).

It's just that OP above does have a point: Hawks have to remain hot shooters. They were 18th in defensive rating in the regular season. And while that has improved in the playoffs which is great, their O rating has dropped. Defenses zero in and adjust to try to limit strongest weapons. So I agree with you that they've played better, but OP above has a point with needing to maintain the O heat as well.
