The Hawks are actually playing better than the score reflects. If they were shooting their average from three they'd be in the lead right now.
Yeah it's tricky. They've definitely become a far more balanced and therefore dangerous team. In that sense, they had the playoffs in mind - both making them and being competitive in them.
With the depth, Young doesn't have to do it all by himself (to whatever extent that was the perception either by him or fans).
It's just that OP above does have a point: Hawks have to remain hot shooters. They were 18th in defensive rating in the regular season. And while that has improved in the playoffs which is great, their O rating has dropped. Defenses zero in and adjust to try to limit strongest weapons. So I agree with you that they've played better, but OP above has a point with needing to maintain the O heat as well.
