Also, let me once again state how much it meant for us to have James Harden go out there on one leg last night. He shot terrible and was clearly out of rhythm but those 8 assists and 6 rebounds he grabbed were huge. This man waved off a double team and forced Giannis into a game deciding fade away brick. James Harden is the **** ing man.
The guy didn't have to play. The Nets DIDN'T want him to play. He did this for the team, himself, and us the fans. Have some appreciation for this guy. Him being out there, even on one leg is enough to keep Jrue Holiday out of the plays on the Bucks defensive possessions. I don't know what he can give us going forward, but it means the world to me as a fan of this team to see this guy do what he did last night. He cares. After years of seeing dudes come in and out of here and not giving a damn about this team and us the fans, it makes me happy to know that this guy wants to be here and he actually wants to win.
Now, do I want him to do this again? No, I do not. He clearly cannot push off on his right leg without fear of hurting himself. I don't want him to risk further injury.
It is sobering, but until he can play without that hamstring flaring up, and until Kyrie's ankle heals, we have a severe uphill climb here. Our championship hopes are probably not happening this year, but regardless, I appreciate Harden and KD for what they did last night.
