Would you trade him for Kemba Walker?

Hollinger thinks that Lavine is doable.

What if that's the only kind of deal available?

Must be 2 Kyrie’s. Certainly can’t be talking about trading Kyrie Irving for Ben Simmons and calling that a win win for both teams. The Nets would block Daryl Morey’s number
Not straight we would need to also bleed picks .. but they need defense, and they know it.
If they had Kyrie they would be on their way to playing the Hawks right now

Then wait.

Yeah, none of those deals really move the needle for us but CJ is more tradeable than Ben right now, so that give us more flexibility. Powell and RoCo are expirings so it will be super easy to use them on a move for a Great piece if we attach players like Mattise or Maxey.

I’m not in the “we have to move Ben no matter what!” camp.
He was pathetic, but they were the ones letting him pretend to be a point guard with no perimeter game.
If none of the offers are sufficient, I would consider keeping him and showcase him in a different role.
With that being said, my definition of sufficient is very realistic. Ben excels at a few aspects of the game, but he will most likely always be a scared, reluctant shooter. He may get back to hitting 60%+ free throws, and being aggressive around the basket, but I don’t ever see a good shooter.
Him as a forward with Jo and Tobias is not something I want to see very much of, but would do it to rehab his value. It’s just a waste of time. Tobias and Embiid don’t really function as floor spacers, so Ben is a horrible fit when we are hoping to improve to title contention.

I like CJ. You throw in Roco or Powell, and I’m even more in. CJ is not ideal, but we arent sending much in return.

The fact they don't fit is exactly why now is the optimal time to sell high not on Ben Simmons, but on Tobias Harris.
Then let Ben rehab value playing forward and backup center where he belongs.
Give the PG keys to whoever we get back (CJ?) and/or Maxey.

We can make Cj for Ben straight, no picks, no expirings no nothing.
The other option is doing Powell/RoCo for Ben.
The 3 players cannot be in the same deal because salaries don't match unless we put a lot more of garbage in
Arsenal wrote:We need RoCo back in the deal. They can have Thybulle who they covet.
Ben + Thybulle for CJ + RoCo. They have to throw in picks too.
