The problem with Philly is the construction of their roster. As I mentioned, they have essentially no front court depth.
Last night they played Howard 7 minutes. Their other reserves were Maxey, Thybulle, Milton & Hill -- all guards.
Any time Embiid & Harris have bad games, Philly is in trouble.
Now look at last night's shooting: 5 guys -- Korkmaz, Howard, Maxey, Milton & Hill -- managed to go 4-16 overall. Add Embiid/Harris combining to go 19-45. That's 61 of their total of 80 shots, & they managed 23 buckets out of them.
You want them to win the game on the other 19 FGAs??
So why did Philly lose? Answer this question instead: why did Curry & Thybulle get a total of 15 shots in a combined 52 minutes? Answer that question, & you understand why Philly lost.
