I'm old enough to remember when catching Minnesota was a pipedream and that we could learn a thing or 2 from OKC how to tank. And also let's not forget, you know, "leg contusions".

It's still going too. "OKC really knows how to rebuild right." Sure, if you love first round exits every year. I think that's what most of us call "the treadmill."

Now, the stupid thing about all the complaining about not tanking properly is that it disregards the chance/luck factor relative to the draft. And if you're going to do that, then clearly Weaver and Casey...

DID

IT

EXACTLY

RIGHT.

Now, I don't expect the Weaver/Casey haters to give any credit since those posters would thus have to admit that they were completely wrong. I expect the usual "they still screwed it up but got lucky; OKC actually did it right but got screwed in the draft."

So at this point we get to tell all the Weaver and Casey haters--and you know who you are--SHUT UP. We were right, and you were wrong. DEAL WITH IT. 8-)

Man I just went back and had a great laugh . The conversation around post 440ish/450ish about how great Philly is and how successful their rebuild is, is just pure dynamite. Literally everything I addressed about Philly's issues showed up last series against Atlanta.

You know, Atlanta, a team that pretty much took a step back and lost games PURPOSELY for one season and got their star. They added more young pieces that fit the next draft but quickly pivoted to adding veterans for the purpose of WINNING.

To all the McFly's out there, you don't spend 3 or 4 seasons losing on purpose. There's NOTHING in the history of the NBA that's shown you this is a better strategy to get to contention than any other.

The Process died when Trae Young became a legit shot blocking threat to Ben Simmons.

Of course it completely overlooks the reality that drafting really good players means the team won’t be bad anymore, but hey, never let reality get in the way of a proper rebuild.

How hard do you think Sixers fans are laughing right now? Especially given it's a high likelihood Ben Simmons is going bye bye, much like the possibility of your post aging well?

Yep, I have to admit that I didn't have any faith in Casey for the tank till the last couple of games but was pretty convinced Weaver was the only one all for it. I've been proved wrong but I'm OK with that as the team showed nice development all season long plus we won the 1st pick.

Put me off the 'FIRE CASEY' bandwagon for now. He's shown he's the right one for this job at the moment and this young team needs stability. My only regret is the development/use of Sekou, but that can still change.

At least you're willing to admit to being wrong instead of continuing on and deflecting. You definitely deserve credit for that.
