He has shown he can be a great front facing media personality like his time in the Jump. I don’t get it, all the championship era guys from Kerr, to Wennington, to Kukoc all freakin’ love him; then the only thing the public gets from him is this tabloid weirdness? Thought he was taking the high road after the Last Dance stuff by just talking to Jordan in private, but I guess he was just biding his time to air 25 year old dirty laundry.
Toni Kukoc had a good point saying guys like Jokic and Doncic had far more clear paths to the NBA BECAUSE guys like Kukoc blazed trails and made it so those guys had less scrutiny. He accomplished everything a player who was not yet in the NBA could have accomplished and made an impact his rookie season. Don’t know what else the guy could have done to make Pip see he was legitimate and not just some great white hype in that situation.
pippen hated Kukoc because Pippen was the apple of Krause's eye, then Krause loved Kukoc and Pippen felt slighted. He was Jerry's next great find, and Krause was also trying to trade Pippen too. If not for that internal drama I think Scottie and Toni would have been fine honestly. It was more like a sibling rivalry than anything real. I think my favorite interview in the Last Dance is Jordan laughing at Pippen's comments when Pip said that Kukoc should never play in the NBA. It was hilarious.
