Cam is questionable for game 1. Let's friggin go. His shot selection needs working on but this means less Solo.

Re: Hawks vs Bucks pre-ECF talks
fivethirtyeight.comThe Bucks-Hawks Series Could Come Down To One Area Of The Court
The proliferation of 3-pointers and the (alleged) death of the midrange game often dominate the NBA conversation this time of year. But there’s a small part of the court that might be just as important yet doesn’t get much attention: inside the paint but outside the restricted area. That very specific battleground could very well decide the 2021 Eastern Conference finals.
Over the past three seasons, only two NBA teams have allowed more shots from that area of the floor than the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Second Spectrum. During that same time, just five players have attempted more shots from that region than Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young.
During the first two rounds of these playoffs, no player attempted more of those shots than Young (97). The next-closest player, though, is Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo (87). How the Bucks and Hawks defenses, respectively, deal with Young and Antetokounmpo in the back of the paint will be a significant factor in determining which of their teams moves on to represent the East in the NBA Finals.
In the lone regular-season matchup between these two teams that Young actually played, 11 of his 17 shots came from this area of the floor. He connected on just three of those 11 attempts, bothered by the size and length of Brook Lopez in front of him and Jrue Holiday behind him.
Young is certainly capable of making those shots, though, and of capitalizing in different ways on teams forcing him to create offense from that area of the floor, rather than at the rim or outside the arc.Spoiler:

This is super weird that I'm not that upset that we lost. We did some really rubbish things, Trae, Collins and Clint were excellent but I'm still stoked there's no superteam left in the playoffs

You guys definitely have the better team at this point. (Especially with all of our injuries.)
Budenholzer...is...whew. Still Bud.
I had you guys as the favorite to win the title like 3 hours ago. But I now suspect both of us are just chasing a healthy Phoenix team at this point...

He certainly is...
We were discussing that if we were to get to the finals, containing Trae would be some preparation for that. On the evidence of the first game, lol.

Sarah K. Spencer: No updates on Trae Young or Clint Capela from Nate McMillan. McMillan says he hasn’t met with the training staff yet to get those updates (today is a travel day for the team).

Re: Hawks vs Bucks pre-ECF talks
It's no way they play Giannis next game so I figure sit Trae down as well. Game 6 and the home crowd can give him the boost to overcome the pain while getting him some decent rest.
Cam and Pierce apparently had a poor relationship. A guy like Nate has been through the wars as a player and coach so his word carries more weight to the guys it appears.
Onyeka is evidently the Giannis stopper. Kid has a strong base and stonewalls him forcing him to end his dribble mid drive, buying more time for help.
Lou came up roses game 4. Bogi had a pep in his step, he made three 3s in a row in the 3rd right after Giannis got hurt and that basically decided the game. K'von is growing up in these playoffs.

I have had a similar bone bruise like Trae has had a few times. It can be a quick recovery or linger for a week. If he's fine he needs to play and gsne five is a must win.CP War Hawks wrote:It's no way they play Giannis next game so I figure sit Trae down as well. Onyeka shows all the signs that he's going to have a productive career. I like the potential.
Lou Williams has been amazing. I don't believe Rondo would have made the impact Lou has and we even received a second round pick. I hope we consider extending him this offseason.

Re: Hawks vs Bucks pre-ECF talks
They have to make sure his foot is healthy enough to take on more trauma ie Jrue/Milwaukee goon stepping on it.
If Trae can go next game, I would still let Lou start and let him come off the bench. If lou struggles next game which is likely then Young gets the minutes.

I think that's incorrect. It's the black Statement Jerseys for G5. MLK for G6 at home.
