All may not be well inside the organization, though. Skip Bayless reported on Friday's edition of Undisputed that Leonard is unhappy with the Clippers' medical staff and believes they misdiagnosed the knee issue initially, leading to a more serious injury that has knocked him out of postseason play. He also reported Leonard is going to need surgery and is done for the rest of the playoffs.

What he says doesn't quite make sense to me. How did misdiagnosing the knee issue initially (which to my knowledge happened during that Utah game) lead to a more serious injury? He played through for a few minutes and then left the game, not sure where the opportunity there was to even do a proper diagnosis since Kawhi didn't even ask out after the collision with Ingles. And after he came out, he obviously hasn't played or practiced since.

As far as the lack of info or more specific prognosis goes, if there's even a chance of him coming back at some point this postseason then they're reporting exactly what they need to report. If they all knew for 100% there is no chance of return and say he needed surgery, then sure you announce that and get the surgery sooner than later. But at the time of injury there was still a relatively large window through the end of the Finals, large enough that they wouldn't know with a strain whether he might recover well enough to be able play again at some point.

Noone talks to Skip Bayless 1. 2 if he was unhappy with the team, he would be away from the team vs supporting from the skybox. It seems hes getting treatment in preparation for a return in the finals. If he needs surgery that will happen once their season is completed but I think people do alot of fishing with Kawhi because there is no information and a story needs to be created. This is exactly why KD has been going off recently

Don’t want to get my hopes up. Apparently they’ve updated it all along. Not sure how they’d get the scoop and not someone like Woj but thought I’d post it anyway.

It would be just like Leonard’s camp to update someone at cbs sports instead of one of the bigger names.

I'm taking this automated report with a grain of salt. Until the reporters announce it, I'm not taking it at face value.

I’m not getting my hopes up either. I just thought it worth posting since they’ve changed their updates along the way.

Still think Woj, Haynes, or Shams would break the news if there is anything to break.

Also thought it interesting they either team still hasn’t submitted their injury report. Have until 5 pacific to do so.

Maybe We'll Never Know - But That's The Point

Post#110 » by Wammy Giveaway » Tue Jun 29, 2021 11:49 pm

Maybe we were never meant to know about Leonard's status, and it might be for the best. If anything, all this silence has done is throw the Suns off the trail. Until there is an official report, Suns have to continue playing as if Leonard will be back, and that mysteriousness - aside from George's forced leadership, Lue's knack for preventing 3-0 leads and devising comebacks, and the emergence of Mann - is helping the Clippers get even with the Suns (and Chris Paul).

CBS is automated. They do projections based on what injury is reported. Why anyone would expect CBS to have the scoop over Chris Haynes is beyond me

chris haynes on nba tv just said Kawhi and the clippers are not ruling out a possibility he can play in the finals. Lets hope we get there.

If they win these two games, clippers and Kawhi's team will have a meeting

So, as expected, Skip Bayless is a troll with no sources and no credibility. It's good to know that Kawhi's injury isn't the worst case scenario, at least.

we already knew that. SKip bayless is the one o said something about harden's manboobs on air and acted as if it came from a specific source. We know Chris Haynes is the Kawhi insider. I don't know why people bothered to listen to skip.

Shocking. Not. They should have just ruled him out from the get go. By not doing so they just created more media attention to it.

Pretty pathetic how ungrateful you guys are for the player who carried the Raptors to their only ring even though it wasn't his choice to be there. I can understand Spurs fans being bitter about Kawhi, I can't understand the bitterness from Raptors fans.
