Skip Bayless reported on Friday's edition of Undisputed that Leonard is unhappy with the Clippers' medical staff and believes they misdiagnosed the knee issue initially, leading to a more serious injury that has knocked him out of postseason play. He also reported Leonard is going to need surgery and is done for the rest of the playoffs.

What he says doesn't quite make sense to me. How did misdiagnosing the knee issue initially (which to my knowledge happened during that Utah game) lead to a more serious injury? He played through for a few minutes and then left the game, not sure where the opportunity there was to even do a proper diagnosis since Kawhi didn't even ask out after the collision with Ingles. And after he came out, he obviously hasn't played or practiced since.
As far as the lack of info or more specific prognosis goes, if there's even a chance of him coming back at some point this postseason then they're reporting exactly what they need to report. If they all knew for 100% there is no chance of return and say he needed surgery, then sure you announce that and get the surgery sooner than later. But at the time of injury there was still a relatively large window through the end of the Finals, large enough that they wouldn't know with a strain whether he might recover well enough to be able play again at some point.
